[~1300 Words]
As the head of the gang kept Yumi under control and pointed his gun at the police, it was obvious they weren't looking to launch an attack. The rest of the robbers formed a protective barrier around their fellow members who had hostages.
"Is that a definite yes, sniper?" Takuya questioned the marksman through the walkie-talkie from his front pocket .
The sniper's yes made Takuya hand over the reins, even though he felt a hint of nervousness, which was new for him as a gun king. It was his first live experience with a gun, but his instincts were there to guide him.
"We've secured the target, but we're still unable to capture the two robbers or guarantee the safety of the hostages," reported one of the snipers.
Another sniper backed up this claim, and Takuya couldn't shake the feeling that this mission was a total mess. They needed at least two snipers to take out the bad guys while saving the hostages at the same time. In the end, it felt like the whole thing was on him.
Takuya was making his debut as a police officer armed with a gun, and he was ready to prove his worth. "Allow the suspects to get away and create an opening for us," he directed the officers, who were hesitant but fell back due to the tough circumstances.
The leader of the robbers let out a breath of relief when he saw the police back off, understanding that they weren't looking to get into a shootout or put their lives on the line for something insignificant. Their goal was to gather riches, not to stir up trouble with the law or get into a pointless fight.
"It's clear that the police are focusing on keeping the hostages safe above all else," the leader of the criminals said. "Let's wait and see if they can protect both the hostages and the bank's property."
The drama played out live on television, with reporters sharing every detail while viewers held their breath, rooting for Officer Fujiwara's victory.
Even though some had their concerns about Officer Fujiwara, the vast majority were optimistic that he would manage to catch the culprits. After all, there are many kind-hearted people in the world.
As the criminals hurried towards their vehicle, a palpable anxiety spread among the police, spectators, reporters, television audiences, and even the thieves themselves were sweating. Takuya clutched his weapon tightly, waiting for the perfect chance to make his move.
As long as both robbers showed their heads while holding the hostages, he could take them out accurately. "Move quickly," Takuya said, his tone calm and firm.
The leader of the group felt his hands, both palms and backs, drenched in sweat as he held Yumi Miyamoto firmly, worried she might try to escape. Meanwhile, the short robber quickly swung open the police-prepared vehicle door, letting the rest of the gang move forward together.
Takuya recognized a prime opportunity and acted quickly, raising his weapon and firing two shots at the same time. The bullets flew through the air, first hitting the leader of the robbers in the head and then striking another criminal.
When the bullet burst out of the second attacker's skull, blood splattered all over Yumi's face, momentarily blinding her with its force. She had seen blood before, but this time was different; the sheer amount that hit her made a lasting impression.
The second hostage sustained a bloody injury to the face before fainting and hitting the ground with a thud. Even Yumi Miyamoto, a well-seasoned police officer, was struck by the shocking scene unfolding around her and fainted.
The other robbers were frozen in fear but quickly pulled themselves together when the police started shooting. A chaotic burst of gunfire filled the air, mixed with the sickening sounds of bullets hitting bodies and breaking glass. The robbers' hands were filled with bullet wounds, making them drop their guns.
Previously, it was required to get rid of hostages holder to keep Yumi safe, but in this case, there were none other hostages around. Takuya decided against firing indiscriminately, realizing that it could be viewed as erratic or unstable.
"Capture the suspects!" Inspector Megure shouted, prompting a wave of police officers to converge on the robbers, encasing them with a barrage of firearms pointed directly at their targets.
The attackers clutched their injured hands, crying out in anguish as they understood their situation. "Hurry and take the hostages to the hospital, and reach out to psychologists for support," Takuya commanded, managing the chaos with military-like efficiency.
The unconscious person was carefully lifted onto a stretcher by the hostage carriers, while officers dealt with the uninjured assailants, securing them in handcuffs before escorting them off.
Each suspect would be shadowed by a police officer, who would stay at a safe distance. While they had certain rights, these individuals weren't given a lot of extra privileges.
As Yumi slowly opened her eyes, Fujiwara Takuya wrapped his left arm around her shoulders and gently used his right sleeve to clear the blood from her face. His luxurious clothes were stained with red stain, but that was nothing compared to her well-being.
As Takuya's warmth wrapped around her, Yumi snapped back to reality, throwing herself into his arms and broke down in tears.
"Officer Fujiwara," she sobbed, clinging tightly to him.
Takuya encircled Yumi's shoulders with his arm, supporting her to stop her from tipping over. The warmth of their connection was intoxicating, rivaling the intimacy he had with Eri Kisaki.
The nearby police couldn't shake off their envy as Officer Sato was already at the scene, while Yumi Miyamoto seemed set on holding Takuya in a tight embrace.
Miwako felt a bit unsure as she noticed her best friend's distress. Still, she made the choice to lend her boyfriend to Yumi, realizing that her friend needed some support after going through something traumatic.
"Rest easy; I will carry you back to the car," Takuya said, gently and tenderly lifting Yumi into his arms.
When they got into the car, Yumi leaned her head against Takuya's strong chest and wrapped her arms around his neck. Miwako decided to stay back, realizing there were plenty of things to take care of at the location.
The hostages still needed to give statements and an evaluation of the damages the bank incurred has to be recorded. This meant that several Police staff members had to get involved.
While Yumi slowly adjusted to her new surroundings, she couldn't shake her fear and kept a firm grip on Takuya's hands.
With a slight edge of determination, Yumi expressed, "I can't thank you enough for saving me Officer Fujiwara; I'll definitely find a way to repay you."
Takuya's imagination stirred as he considered the ways she might repay him. "Yumi, if you truly wish to repay me, then have a child with me," he suggested tenderly.
Yumi abruptly broke free from Takuya's embrace and straightened up, nearly bumping her head on the car.
"Are you really asking me to have your baby? Don't you already have Miwako for that?" she shot back.
To make things clear, Takuya said, ‟Everyone knows I'm an orphan, So it's only fitting that I look for multiple wives and aim to have lots of kids."
