Chapter 11 - Found

Entering the Mystic Grill, Klaus and Rebekah could be seen drinking at the bar.

"Well, if it isn't Stefan, come join us won't you," said Klaus upon spotting him, phrased in the form of an order that left no question he should comply.

"I heard about your missing brother. Take it from me, siblings are more trouble than they're worth. That whole mess with the white oak would have had your entire small town wiped out should he have succeeded," Klaus grinned dangerously.

"Ah, Nik, always such a drama queen," said Rebekah.

"Stefan," she greeted coldly, "I last saw Damon with that bitch Sage."

Klaus lost his grin, his head snapping towards her, "Sage who? Finn's sage?" he asked, and she nodded in confirmation.

"And you didn't think to tell me?" he growled.

"I didn't see the point, she doesn't know where Finn is either," Rebekah defended.

"You see what I'm dealing with," he sighed, addressing Stefan before turning back to his sister, "Tell me, Rebekah, where is Sage now, then?"

"I don't know," she said, unable to answer, looking away, ashamed.

"Do you have her number perchance?" asked Klaus.

"I do," said Rebekah.

"Good, give me your phone," ordered Klaus.

"What, why?" asked Rebekah defensively.

"Give me your phone Bekah," Klaus said as calmly as he possibly could, so as not to draw attention from the other customers.

"Alright, but you have to promise not to get angry," said Rebekah, pulling out her phone. "Hey," she complained when he snatched it out of her hand.

Going through her contacts, he gives her a dark look as she looks away sheepishly, glad she had the forethought not to give him a worse nickname.

Finding the names, evil brother and good brother. His lips twitched when he found what could only be Kol's nickname, little shit.

"Her numbers under peasant bitch," said Rebekah cooly.

"Because of course she is," said Klaus, amusedly.

When he was done with her phone, he tossed it back to her and downed his drink. "If you'll excuse me, I have things to do. As for your brother, Kol might not have him, but should Finn, his chances could be even slimmer," he warns, taking his leave.

Smirking to himself on his way out, wondering how long it would take her to realize he switched his and Elijah's nicknames.

"I wouldn't worry about it, Sage and Damon seemed close enough," said Rebekah, checking her phone before following Klaus out.

Stefan was left contemplating whether Damon had run off with Sage and possibly Finn, looking for another way to combat Klaus after failing to retrieve the white oak.

.

"You've been progressing nicely," said Kol, sitting across from Bonnie in the living room of her Gram's house as she levitated a flame between her hands with eyes closed while chanting a spell designed to increase her control over the element.

When she finished, there was a small magical pulse in the room, making it instantly warmer inside. Opening her eyes, she poured her newfound power into the flame, causing it to grow and expand upwards into a formidable column of fire.

"Good, now add wind," urged Kol with a mighty grin.

Doing as he asked, soon there was a roaring tornado of fire in the middle of the living room, scorching both the ceiling and the coffee table underneath, as they were forced to back up with Bonnie's hands facing outwards, controlling it.

"Now kill it," said Kol, and with that, it ended as Bonnie snuffed it out with a great big grin of her own, unbothered by the lingering smoke.

He was momentarily mesmerized when he saw her smile for the first time in his presence, unable to hide her happy expression.

"Kol, KOL, what next?" she asked, looking at him weirdly.

Rapidly blinking his eyes, he coughed awkwardly, "Ahem, you did great, your elemental control has grown, and I taught you the necessary foundation for spell crafting along with plenty of spells to hold your own against the best of them, thanks to your freakishly good talent. I think we're ready," said Kol.

"Don't you still have to teach me keymia or whatever?" asked Bonnie.

"Kemiya," corrected Kol, "And sure I do, but with the way you pick things up, it shouldn't take you long at all. More importantly, I need to figure out how to get the last ingredient."

"And what is this last ingredient?" asked Bonnie.

"We need one of the silver daggers. Unfortunately, Finn ran off with them, so somehow, I need to find and convince him to give us one. Shouldn't be too difficult. He hates Klaus just as much as anyone, and he might even be willing to help," said Kol optimistically, "If I can find him, that is."

"So, a quick locator spell and we'll know where he is," said Bonnie.

"You're forgetting who he ran away with," said Kol bitterly.

"Right, your mother," said Bonnie, dejectedly.

Suddenly his phone rang.

"Who is it?" asked Bonnie, seeing his expression fall.

"Klaus, you need to stay incredibly quiet," Kol warned before answering.

"Brother, to what do I owe the pleasure?" he asked.

"I found Finn, meet us at the mansion," ordered Klaus, hanging up.

"Well?" asked Bonnie when he put his phone away.

"He found Finn," said Kol grimly.

"I don't understand, isn't that a good thing? Now you can get the dagger," said Bonnie.

"You mean before or after Klaus gets his hands on them and uses them on us, with me being second in line after Finn," said Kol resentfully.

"Now it's you who is forgetting about your mother, what will she do?" asked Bonnie.

"I have no idea. Supposedly, she wants to kill us, but I have no idea why she would have run away and not done anything yet. It's very strange," said Kol, thoughtfully.

"Yeah, not to mention we have no idea why she fed you Elena's blood if it wasn't to link you like she told us she would," said Bonnie.

"I can't think of anything off the top of my head, but perhaps you're right, maybe I can get the dagger while Klaus is distracted with Finn and my mother, then I could run back here and we can begin," said Kol.

"You still haven't taught me Kemiya," Bonnie pointed out.

"And like I said you'll pick it up fast, performing Kemiya, was, a very demanding magic that specifically required the use of two witches as well as an incredible amount of power, but that's where you come in, with your modern knowledge of chemistry and power enough for two, you'll be able to perform it solo in no time with the paragon diamond as your focus," Kol explained.

Bonnie frowned, "Two witches? Are you sure?"

"Definitely. You have no idea how amazing you truly are Bonnie Bennett," said Kol sincerely.

A slight blush could be seen as Bonnie looked away, unable to take his heartfelt gaze any longer.

"I should get going, Klaus will only wait so long before he goes on a rampage," said Kol, heading for the door.

"Good luck," said Bonnie.

Kol grinned, "You're all the luck I need, darling." And with that, he blurred away, leaving her cheeks ruby red.
