Chapter 358 - Chapter 610 - Mew Blood

The whole house is one large room, which would be considered a mansion compared to the size of Mew's small body.

In the center of the house lies a massive, circular futon—a plush bed, incredibly soft to the touch.

Though it's unclear how long Mew has been gone, the room remains spotless, as if untouched by time.

The futon in the middle looks brand new, its surface pristine.

Aoki recalled the Altaria he had just put away—its contents were too valuable to risk damage from fluttering wings.

Entering the room with Slowking, Aoki activated his system and scanned the entire area, ensuring nothing of value was overlooked.

He approached the central futon cautiously. The entire bed was a soft pink, so plush that lying on it would make one sink in.

Mew's resting days must have been comfortable.

Aside from the bed, the house contained nothing unusual—only the walls were covered in intricate carvings.

Some were ancient hieroglyphs, others murals depicting forgotten legends, and some markings were too faded for Aoki to decipher.

Uncertain of their meaning, he recorded everything into his system's database. Even if their purpose was unclear now, the answers might reveal themselves later.

This was Mew's dwelling. Team Rocket would undoubtedly find traces of Mew's genetic material here.

Unless Aoki burned the house down now, Team Rocket would eventually uncover Mew's DNA, and Mewtwo would still be created.

The thought was tempting—but fleeting.

For one, the Registeel and Regirock outside might not take kindly to the destruction of Mew's home.

And even if Mewtwo never came to be, what good would that do Aoki?

None at all.

In fact, if Team Rocket poured resources into Mewtwo's creation, it would buy Aoki more time to grow stronger.

Not that he planned to oppose Team Rocket outright—but he needed the strength to refuse if Sakagi ever demanded something life-threatening.

That was Aoki's goal: to ensure neither Team Rocket nor the League could dictate his fate.

So the idea of burning the house was dismissed immediately.

Instead, Aoki might even help Team Rocket find Mew's DNA, accelerating their research.

Witnessing the birth of an artificial Legendary Pokémon would be invaluable for his system's database.

To create Mewtwo, Team Rocket would gather the brightest scientific minds. Their databases would hold unimaginable data—data Aoki's system could absorb.

But first, he needed to ensure Team Rocket found Mew's genetic material. Then, he had to strengthen his own standing to access their research.

As his power grew, Aoki realized his system's data was insufficient.

In his past life, he had stopped gathering information after reaching the Elite tier.

Now, even with the data from the Lake of Rage research facility, the system's limitations were becoming apparent.

After scanning the walls, the system detected something unusual on Mew's bed.

Aoki donned gloves and carefully plucked a single strand of fluff with tweezers.

It was tiny, but its length suggested it came from Mew's tail.

More intriguing was the faint red tinge on the strand.

Blood?

Mew's blood?

Aoki studied the stained fluff, his shock growing.

This was Mew—a true Legendary Pokémon. Something had injured it enough to draw blood?

This might be the only trace of Mew's blood in existence.

More importantly, what could have possibly harmed Mew? Even Mewtwo at full power could only fight Mew to a standstill.

Only a Mega Evolved Mewtwo might stand a chance—but what Pokémon could injure Mewtwo?

Was it another Legendary? Something undiscovered? Or something else entirely?

Had Mew's disappearance been caused by this injury?

Aoki felt he had stumbled upon something extraordinary.

The system analyzed the strand:

Item Name: Mystical Pokémon Fur (Unidentified)

Description: Contains traces of blood from an unknown Pokémon. Despite the passage of time, residual energy remains.

Function: The blood carries Psychic-type energy, potentially enhancing a Pokémon's psychic abilities.

Warning: Handle with caution—effects are unpredictable.

The system's limitations were clear—it couldn't fully identify Mew's DNA.

Few had ever seen Mew, let alone studied it.

And with Mew's ability to shapeshift, even Champion-level Trainers would struggle to recognize it.

Not knowing how to use the fur was frustrating.

But the fact that Mew's blood still held energy after all this time spoke volumes.

This was the power of a Legendary Pokémon.

Though Mew wasn't a battler by nature, its Psychic abilities were among the strongest in the world.

If harnessed, this fur could unlock immense Psychic potential—for Pokémon and even for Aoki himself.
