The remaining half of the contestants were divided between the Viper Tribe and the Black Eagle Tribe. Each of these two tribes sent out 64 participants to compete.
According to the rules of the competition, the first round consists of group matches, with the 256 contestants divided into groups of four for the matches.
The top two from each group advance to the second round, while the others are eliminated. The group match rules are straightforward: a free for all battle.
All four participants enter the arena simultaneously and can attack any opponent in any manner.
The match ends when two of the four have been knocked out of the arena. The two who remain standing on the arena advance to the second round.
