Zyran stood outside the doctor's office checking his watch at intervals then turning to look at the door. He tapped the sole of his shoe in a rhythmic movement that stopped him from walking back inside the room to find out why he was sent out.
It wasn't because he wanted to control everything about the pregnancy but he wanted to be a part of the process. A part of the journey until his child was born, he wanted to follow through it all and not be left out. Being sent out of the room made him feel bad but if that was what the girl wanted then he didn't have a choice.
When an hour passed and his patience waned out with it, Zyran turned to reach for the door knob but it turned before he could grab it.
"Sorry we kept you waiting, we are done," Sarah informed with a welcoming smile, moving to the side so Mila could pass.
Zyran's eyes fell on Mila first, before settling on the doctor.
"Is everything okay?" he asked calmly.
Sarah nodded with a smile, she touched Mila's hand.
