Everyone was prepared to leave. Preparations were taking place during the whole night and now we had people with bags, taking whatever they could take.
"Everyone, wait in the warehouse with the secret exit!" I asked every vulpin, hoping to get them ready in case they had to escape through it.
I preferred to lose the castle than to drop them into their probable deaths once more.
"Mister Marcel" I heard Mapple's voice behind me and someone tugging at my shirt.
Mapple was looking up at me. Her small, adorable hand was grabbing my clothes.
"I-I don't want to get captured by the bad guys again, I will see you again later, right?" Mapple asked.
I sighed. This poor child somehow imprinted on me when I saved her with her brother, and that made me feel responsible for them. These last days I have been focusing on rescuing and reuniting them. Sadly, so far, I have only found Mapple.
