Hengsheng silently gave a warning glance to Lan Xiaorong—one that said if he dared to speak behind his back again… it wouldn't end well.
He withdrew his gaze and shifted it back to Wang Dalong. A faint smirk appeared on his lips.
"Make you my servant? Huh?" he said, pausing as if holding back a laugh.
"What's so funny?! Am I a joke to you?!" Wang Dalong roared. As the young master of a prestigious clan, he had never been treated with such disrespect. Yet this Lan Hengsheng dared to mock him so openly!
"If I really wanted to make you my servant, I wouldn't need to tell such a big lie," Hengsheng replied, raising his hand casually. "Let me show you what I would do."
With a subtle gesture, one of the wooden orbs rolled forward. Inside was one of Wang Dalong's close aides, still restrain and helpless.
"Ah! Help! Brother DaLong!" the young cultivator cried out in shock, asking for help while his vision turned up and down as the orb moved.
Wang Dalong's face twisted in rage. "What are you doing?! Trying to threaten me now?! I knew it! You're nothing but a two-faced demon!" he bellowed, his voice thick with fury and fear.
However, the scene of his close one being tortured to make him submit did not happen.
When the orb stopped before Hengsheng, he loosened the wooden orb and released the young cultivator completely.
The young cultivator's eyes widened in confusion, but he did not dare to act recklessly since the person before him was far more powerful than his brother Dalong.
"I give you a choice—submit to become my servant…" Hengsheng said calmly.
"Never!" the young cultivator gritted his teeth and replied bravely, even though there was clearly fear in his tone.
"You hear! Arrogant! Fool! Think everyone will do what you say!" Wang Dalong was proud of his aide's bravery. Even if they might die today, dying bravely was still better than dying like a slave.
Hengsheng was not angry at their reaction; he calmly said,
"Let me finish first. If you become my servant, the piece of soil beneath my feet will be yours," Hengsheng said with a smirk.
The young cultivator was at first afraid, but hearing Hengsheng, he became angry!
"You're looking down on me too much. Are you saying that I'm as valuable as the soil beneath your feet?!" the young cultivator of the Wang Clan roared.
The young man dashed forward, his fist aimed at Hengsheng's face. He just wanted to leave a bruise on the person before dying.
But his fist never reached Hengsheng's face—instantly, he fell to the ground as a powerful aura pressed down on him!
BOOM!
"NO!!! Wang Ming!!!!" Wang Dalong roared as he witnessed his close aide fall hard against the floor, unmoving.
Tears of humiliation leaked from the corners of Wang Dalong's eyes.
His pride as the young master was shattered; he could not protect his servant!
Despite being restrained by a wooden orb, he gritted his teeth and vowed: 'If I survive today… I will return and take revenge!'
But then, with a trembling voice, it came from the young cultivator who was lying on the ground before Lan Hengsheng.
"Earlier… you said I'd own this soil if I accepted your offer?"
The voice startled everyone.
"You're alive!" Wang Dalong said, relieved—but the young cultivator didn't seem to hear him.
"Yes," Hengsheng replied with a smirk.
"How much?" Wang Ming asked, excitement bubbling in his voice despite his face lay on the ground.
"What are you talking about, Wang Ming?! Don't fall for his deceptive tricks!" Wang Dalong roared in disbelief—but again, Wang Ming ignored him.
"I will give you this piece of soil. The amount? One meter wide, one meter long, and one meter deep," Hengsheng said, his smirk widening.
Wang Ming's eyes widened as he stared at the dirt beneath him. He did the quick math, and the next moment—
He leapt up and clung to Hengsheng's leg like a lifeline.
"From this day! I'll serve big brother Hengsheng!" he declared with teary-eyed conviction.
"NOOOO!!!" Wang Dalong howled, his voice echoing in despair.
Wang Ming thought, 'who wouldn't accept such a great offer! This soil is radiating with Dao Aura! It can't be a mistake! This is a Divine-grade Treasure!'
…
A while later, 39 members of the Wang Clan were released from their wooden cages, leaving only Wang Dalong still restrained within his orb. But he no longer struggled. Instead, he looked like he had lost all will to resist.
His eyes were hollow, staring blankly as his clanmates tried to curry favor with Lan Hengsheng, each one doing their best to please him.
Hengsheng stepped away from the crowd and began explaining the rules.
"As everyone can see, this mountain belongs to me. All the resources here are mine—no one is allowed to take anything without my permission. Baixing, try picking up that pebble near your foot."
"This one, big brother Hengsheng?" Baixing asked, confused, as he bent down and picked it up. The moment he did, a strange phenomenon occurred. Before everyone's eyes, the small pebble in his hand vaporized into a white mist and vanished!
"Oh!" the crowd gasped in shock.
"You see? Nothing here can be taken without my permission," Hengsheng said calmly.
"Is… is all this real?" Lan Muyang asked, still in disbelief. Even though he is a low-rank alchemist, he knew how incredible this was. Turning a desolate rocky mountain into one made of treasures—this level of transmutation was something not even immortals could easily accomplish.
Hengsheng nodded, fully understanding the doubts rising among them. Then, he stomped his foot.
The ground trembled.
Moments later, a two-meter-tall low-rank spirit stone slowly emerged from the earth.
"What is that?!" someone shouted. He knew spirit stones, everyone did, but they had never seen one this massive.
"Someone, try to absorb it," Hengsheng ordered.
A brave girl stepped forward, placed her hand on the glowing spirit stone, and began to absorb its energy.
Everyone watched closely, and their eyes widened as they sensed that the girl could truly refine the spirit stone! Her cultivation base slightly rose!
That meant one thing— This was all real. Not an illusion.
"How is this all possible…" Lan Xiaorong stood in shock, unable to comprehend how Lan Hengsheng had accomplished something so overwhelming—it was beyond anything he could have imagined. Then, a single thought surfaced in his mind.
'Lan Hengsheng… he has a system like me! And not just that—he must possess a powerful class as well! That's the only explanation!'
Lan Xiaorong exchanged glances with his small group, his eyes sharp. Quietly, he shared his suspicion with them. One by one, their expressions turned from disbelief to understanding as they nodded in silence.
Hengsheng noticed the exchange between the 4; he could tell these guys suspected him to be one of them—a system user!
He smirked and let it go, since these guys had already signed the contract and could not hurt him in any way unless they were stronger than him—but that was impossible.
"Listen well!" Hengsheng's voice thundered across the area.
"As the strongest of our generation, I will lead us to reunite with our family somewhere in the Immortal Realm. If you wish to walk this path with me, then follow me. What is mine, I will share. So—what is your answer?" Hengsheng said.
Hengsheng's eyes narrowed since he noticed his carefully crafted words did not seem to reach them; they only responded when he said he was going to share the resources.
"W-We follow you, Big Brother Hengsheng!" Baixing yelled, his voice firm with excitement.
"To the Immortal Realm!" another cultivator shouted, his eyes burning with greed.
The rest joined in unison, their voices rising in a chorus of greed and ambition.
"To the Immortal Realm!"
Hengsheng shook his head, unable to shake the thought that there must be something wrong with the cultivators' minds, not just his assumption.
Seeing most had decided, he waved his hand, and then the white energy of Origin Energy flowed through the crowd and condensed into a white scroll before them—this was the system contract!
The unbreakable contract made by the power of the system!
"Sign!!!" Hengsheng shout!
"After that, the endless cultivation resources will be at your disposal!" Hengsheng encouraged them.
Half, blinded by greed, immediately signed it with their Qi signature. The other half read through the contract carefully.
The content of the contract was not slavery that limited one's freedom; it only prevented any form of betrayal and kept secrets.
When they knew it was safe, they signed it. The white scroll transformed into an unknown white energy seal and sank into the deepest part of their existence.
Wang Dalong, with hollow eyes, saw the contract before him. He gritted his teeth, fighting against his own greed, but unfortunately, he lost miserably.
"Sorry…" he said softly to himself and signed it. After he extended his Qi to the white scroll and signed, the wooden orb that restrained him loosened and freed him.
…
At one of the highest mountain ranges in the shattered dimensional world.
There are multiple pairs of eyes silently gazing at the mountain covered by a transparent white energy shield.
