"I know, you don't have to think that way. But can you look at this for now?"
He handed Kenneth his phone, it was open in his gallery and Kenneth looked at the pictures with furrowed brows.
He kept flipping until he got to a picture of a mango-flavored chocolate in a fridge.
"These are?"
"We thought she was simply amazing when she came up with the strategy for your finals. But during the typhoon, I ended up helping her out. I found all these files in her cabinet. And when I opened the fridge, I found what was in that last picture."
Kenneth looked back at the pictures.
"She may have been acting, but at the very least, there are moments when she genuinely helped out. And wasn't that chocolate your thank-you gift to her? I don't know why she left it in the fridge, but if she didn't care about anything related to us, then she would have just thrown it away if she didn't like it. At the same time, did she ever do anything that caused trouble for us?"
Kenneth suddenly felt ashamed of how he burst out a while ago.
The pictures are the files that Harmony looked into for his basketball finals. With the amount of papers and the doodles on it, he can already tell that she put a lot of effort into looking into it and helping him out.
"I just felt that Justin was played around," Kenneth sighed.
"I know," Shawn replied.
"She did not, though."
They turned when they heard Justin's voice.
"How can you say?"
"When I first went up against her, we were not that close for her to know what I was feeling. She was always out of the classroom or listening to what I think now, is her competition piece. And the second time, she gave it her all."
Kenneth blinked.
There are those very talented people who won't perform with everything they've got when they know they would win against their opponents with their capabilities.
"That is the greatest respect I would have received from someone of her caliber, something she also told me a while ago. I may have lost against her, but she gave it her all, she did not hold back to help me despite knowing how important my win was during that competition. Instead, she pushed through and challenged me with everything she got."
Kenneth sighed.
"Shawn was right. She never did anything detrimental to us, even though she was just acting like she was in a play," Justin added in the end.
At first, when he realized that she was Wynter Morgrave, Justin felt the same. But as she continued playing the violin, he couldn't help but think back. And that is where all his questions came from.
He now knew, Harmony, or now Wynter, had supported them in her own way. Even though she never accepted the friendship that the others were offering.
Kenneth clicked his tongue before scratching the back of his head.
"Fine, let's go back for me to apologize for those words."
The other two laughed, and the three of them returned.
-END OF FLASHBACK-
"I'm sorry for my harsh words a while ago," Kenneth sincerely said to Harmony.
"It is fine, really. I understand where you were coming from, and I am not the least bit offended," Harmony replied.
"But… seriously, I can't really believe that you are Wynter Morgrave," he then added, trying to brush off the awkwardness.
Harmony thought for a bit before she smiled.
All their eyes went wide.
Her hair and eye color may have been different but her facial expression and aura became that of Wynter Morgrave.
"On second thought, please don't smile that way," Kenneth said, rubbing his arms.
"Why?" Harmony asked, even though she knew why.
"Do you really have to ask? Wynter Morgrave's smile is scary, okay. Even though I have only seen it from afar during the few times I saw you in person, Wynter Morgrave's smile is a smile that says, 'I am easy to get along with but you can never know what is going on in my mind'."
Wynter blinked, this was the first time she had someone say these words to her right on her face.
Obviously, she had heard these words before already, but it was spoken behind her back.
She then tilted her head, looking innocent but kept the smile on, "But you said it is difficult to believe that I am Wynter Morgrave."
Kenneth shuddered, "I believe you already. I really do, so stop."
The others have snapped out of their shock and started laughing at how Harmony was scaring Kenneth out of his wits.
Then she returned to her indifferent look.
"I tell you, I really don't like Wynter Morgrave. From afar or from pictures, I already have a sense of fear towards her because I don't know what is going on in that mind of hers," Kenneth stepped back and said to Shawn and Justin.
Well, Wynter Morgrave may have been treated as a princess doll, and many tried to approach her, but that is only because of her background.
Many were actually in fear of her because of how much she could keep her thoughts and feelings to herself.
"Aren't you afraid that you may end up having a dual personality with how you are doing right now?" Kathrine asked after Kenneth calmed down from his fear of Wynter Morgrave's smile.
"As long as I don't start thinking that this is the real me then I will be fine," Harmony replied.
"You really are amazing," Beatrice couldn't help but comment.
All of them turned to the tablet.
"Don't start comparing yourself to how others act," Harmony instantly sternly said to her.
