Ares stepped through the teleportation gate first, extending his hand to help V navigate carefully. They had arrived at the peak of the tallest cliff. Taking a deep breath, Ares inhaled the fresh cedarwood-scented air, letting its crisp fragrance fill his lungs before finally speaking.
As he released her hand, he stated, "This is Serene Monastery."
"Yes, you're right. It's exactly the same as in my vision," V marveled, standing beside Ares. Her gaze wandered far, scanning the vast, the snowy Aerie mountain range backed scenic picturesque landscape.
"The atmosphere… It feels as tranquil as the Tibetan highlands or Mount Everest."
Ares furrowed his brows in perplexed, glancing at her sharply. He had heard those words before—in the human world. "What did you just say? Tibet? Mount Everest?"
"Ah!" V gasped, realizing her mistake. Swiftly, she turned away, averting her gaze to another direction. Closing her eyes, she cursed her slip.
