"Your Majesty!" V cried out as the divine statues suddenly attacked. Rolling aside, she leapt away just as Ares shoved her toward safety. She groaned, her back slamming against a pillar. Struggling to her feet, she gathered her bearings.
"Run!" Ares commanded, absolutely, unleashing a burst of fire. "I'll catch up with you!"
Surrounded, Ares drew his twin swords from beneath his cloak, moving with deadly precision to parry the swift strikes of the divine statues. They did not move as if rigid sculptures yet rather like living warriors. Ares kicked a Zoid's God statue, sending it tumbling backward—yet he promptly regretted it. "Sorry, Zoids."
V clenched her jaw in frustration, muttering under her breath. She refused to abandon Ares. "I'll never leave someone behind! What can you possibly do without me? You need me by your side to suppress your death curse! I am your only cure, Your Majesty! Without me, you could be wounded or weakened!"
