Reph raised an eyebrow at her question. Were his royal guards watching over them?
"Why would you like to know?" Reph asked in a suspicious tone. He slightly turned his chest towards her and subtly hid his left hand behind his back.
Marionette tilted her head at her, feigning naivety, "I would just like to know. That's all."
Reph eyed her, sceptical.
"You just want to know—"
"From how hesitant you are to answer this little question of mine, I believe they aren't, are they?" Marionette muttered in a low tone.
The darkness surrounding them seemed to darken slightly. The crackling of the fire quieted down a bit.
This subtle change in atmosphere caused Reph to go on alert. The hand, which was hidden behind his back, now had rings worn over each individual finger.
Marionette narrowed her eyes on how alert the Prince looked, "What's wrong, Prince... you look a bit worried about something... mind sharing your worries?"
