As if that was not enough, to their surprise, Mr. Jude laughed, as if something amusing had just occurred. Sabrina's eyebrows shot up in confusion, and she turned to her mother.
Why was he laughing? Her mother raised an eyebrow in surprise at his laughter, then quickly regained composure and spoke quietly, "Just a quick reminder… we wouldn't be sharing this 50-50?"
Sabrina's mother looked at him, her eyes widening. "What do you mean you wouldn't be sharing this 50-50? That wasn't the plan."
A small smile played on his lips as he replied, "Yes, plans changed."
Their eyes widened further. "What did he just mean by 'plans changed'?" Mrs. Winslow's lips trembled slightly, wondering. But that wasn't the contract; that wasn't the deal.
Mr. Jude spoke again, his tone casual but firm. "You know, I could simply take all the property here, but I have to make it look fair, considering you had a big role in this."
