It sat right on the border between Velzoria and another kingdom, so they needed to get there as soon as possible before the other kingdom had a chance to arrive and claim the artifacts.
Just as Bronze Land was another world where Randin and the other dwarves lived, Arondale was another world or continent where Grey and the other mages lived. On this continent, there were three kingdoms, one of which was Velzoria.
The others were Drakesville and the Clover Kingdom. These three kingdoms constantly fought for supremacy, though they all remained wary of Velzoria's emperor due to the tremendous power he wielded.
That was the only reason they hadn't attacked Velzoria—they were lying low for now.
