As Zhang Chengzhi gave the command, soldiers quickly set the oxen's tails alight with oil. The previously calm oxen felt the scorching heat and boiled sensation at their tails, immediately let out a pained bellow, then started to stampede.
The fire grew larger and the herd more ferocious, speeding up their pace.
