Chapter 131 - Compromising - Chapter 5

She began to slowly take off her gloves revealing her hands, which had markings and scars all over them.

"I…have to physically touch you, for this to work. I-if that's okay with you…"

"..."

"Here I go…"

Slowly, she began to press her hands directly against the wounds. He felt her rugged hands press gently as words left her mouth, in a soothing tone. The air about what she was chanting felt different as a soft green glow began to surround the area. Dante couldn't help but feel soothed as the pain slowly started to alleviate from the wound. As if the poison was slowly breaking down from the source.

"Piece by piece, bit by bit. Break from the source, and make anew."

"Restituo"

The color began to return back to its original state as the poison steadily began to seep from the wounds. As if the spell was dispelling the previous conditions at an accelerated rate, he felt the pain fully dissipate from his body.

"Iris, your spell–"

He turned to see her squarely focused on his wound as sweat dropped from her forehead, her hands were pressed down on his would as he noticed the color of them beginning to change to a purplish hue. Her eyes were slowly closing as he realized she was putting her all into removing the poison.

"Stay…still please." she said as her breaths had gotten shaky from the spell. Dante grabbed at her hand quickly, realizing what she was putting herself through to get the poison out.

"Hey! Stop that."

"What–"

"You're hurting yourself!"

He quickly moved to sit up as he held a grip on her hands. He inspected them as he looked over them. They were covered with marks and scars, seemingly scorned over time. She looked away and closed her eyes quickly.

"Please, just don't look at them…" she whimpered as her hands began to tremble in the moment. He sighed as he keep her hands in his, letting out a small laugh as she turned back to him.
