Chapter 232 - Chapter 232: The Registry of Life and Death

Gulp. Tights swallowed.

Yamiru's Golden Veil were sharply focused, and sure enough, he caught a faint glimmer of white light!

In his enhanced vision, the white light followed the beads of sweat trickling down Tights' fair neck, passed over the delicate curves of her chest, and finally reached her slender waist before sinking into her abdomen, where it hovered in place. Tights' expression turned to one of surprise. She took a deep breath, testing herself, and found that she wasn't tired at all. "What's going on?" she asked in confusion.

"…" Yamiru didn't answer, his Golden Veil flickering with shock.

The moment the Senzu Bean's white light merged with Tights' humanoid ki, an unbelievable transformation took place. It was as if some pre-designed program had activated upon ingestion, unfolding step by step. The white light seemed to draw in similar energy from an unseen dimension, gathering within Tights' body. Then, following an arranged process, all the energy fused completely with her.

For a brief moment, Yamiru thought he saw an illusion—he witnessed the white light extracted by the Senzu Bean forming a brand-new version of Tights' body. This invisible phantom overlapped with the exhausted Tights, and after leaving behind "full stamina" and an "unworn body", the remaining "Tights" reverted back into light particles and disappeared into the unseen dimension…

"So that's it… No wonder. I always wondered how Senzu Beans could supposedly contain an unfathomable amount of energy! Turns out, a Senzu Bean is merely a catalyst. All it does is: scan the consumer's body and ki, extract energy from an unknown dimension based on the scan results, use that energy to temporarily reconstruct a fresh version of the person's body, and after repairing what needs to be fixed, disperse the excess energy back into its original form and return it to that unknown dimension…"

Yamiru suddenly understood. That "unknown dimension" was undoubtedly the Heaven of the Otherworld, just as Korin had described! And the white particles of light—those were the boundless, sacred ki of Heaven.

He mused, "That explains why a Senzu Bean can restore both someone like Yajirobe and a Super Saiyan—always the exact amount needed, never too little, never too much. It's like the bean has intelligence… Thinking about it now, it must have been the work of the first Kami of Earth, the one who created the Flying Nimbus and the Senzu Beans! He must have embedded the technique used to restore bodies in the Otherworld into the material world of Earth, thus creating Senzu Beans… And if the person eating the bean is still alive, meaning their 'registry' is still in the living world, then receiving a portion of a 'post-death body' as nourishment wouldn't alter their life-and-death status…

"Speaking of 'registries of life and death'… what exactly is the difference between an Otherworld body and a body from the living world? The only things I can think of are that you don't feel hunger and you don't feel fatigue… And those just happen to be the exact effects of a Senzu Bean! Is that a coincidence, or—oh, wait! The halo!"

A spark of inspiration shot through Yamiru's mind, parting the fog of mystery.

"It has to be that halo! That golden halo over the head… That might actually be a slow-acting, continuously effective 'Senzu Bean'! In fact, it might even be proof of an 'Otherworld registry'! In the manga, when dead Goku was revived, the only thing that changed was the disappearance of his halo. His body, which had undergone training in the Otherworld, remained exactly the same. That proves his body was never altered or replaced… The golden halo is essentially a proof of registry in the Otherworld, and it also carries a long-lasting Senzu Bean-like buff. Once the halo is removed, the registry is erased, making them alive again. And since the body itself never changed, all the training and progress made in that body remains intact!"

Yamiru felt a rush of exhilaration at his own deduction, as if all his pores had opened up in satisfaction.

But then…

He suddenly sensed something was off.

Because Miss Tights seemed a little… upset.

"You fed me this weird bean, and it magically restored my stamina… But instead of checking if I was okay, you just used your golden eyes to stare at my body? Were you analyzing my insides?" Tights pouted and grumbled, "So I was just an experiment to you?"

Yamiru was still floating, parallel to the bed where Tights lay. He scooped her up and flipped over, causing them to align midair.

Tights found the sensation novel—she was actually flying!

"My bad. But I was just worried about your condition," Yamiru admitted simply. "That bean is a Senzu Bean from Korin Tower…"

Then, grinning mischievously, he teased, "But… using Senzu Beans for this purpose—don't you think that's a little inappropriate?"

Tights playfully punched his chest and stifled a laugh. "What purpose? I don't get it. I just ate a bean. What's so special about that?"

"Really? Nothing at all?" Yamiru chuckled as he whispered in her ear.

Tights giggled, nearly slipping from his grasp. Yamiru tossed her onto the bed. Lying there, she finally admitted, "Okay, fine. There is a bit of a change… Hmm… I'm not hungry anymore?"

Yamiru landed beside her, kissing her neck. "Just not hungry?"

Tights nodded.

His kisses trailed lower, brushing past her collarbone and shoulder…

Tights continued nodding.

Then further down, over the gentle slopes of her chest, to her smooth, flat stomach…

Tights stared at the ceiling, her cheeks flushed, her breath hot and uneven… The night was still long.

---

Yamiru was utterly screwed.

All he did was mess with Frieza a little, and that bastard turned into his flashy golden form, leading an entire squad of minions to Earth!

Doing a quick mental calculation… Exactly two months had passed. Damn, the timing was precise!

And as he looked around at his companions, the strongest among them were still just Goku and his son. Bardock and Goku both had an oversaturation of Super Cells, needing only a sufficient base power to trigger the transformation.

But time waited for no one!

Time had already run out…

Yamiru turned his gaze to the sky, where Golden Frieza stood tall and arrogant. Despair filled his heart.

This was supposed to be the Saiyan Saga!

Why the hell was Golden Frieza—who could fight against Super Saiyan Blue—showing up now…?

Couldn't this bastard follow the damn script?!

And before he even knew what was happening, Yamiru was already fighting the golden tyrant.
