Charles, Erik, Logan, Scott, Remy LeBeau...
The Black Queen looked at them and sneered coldly.
"We meet again, Scott!"
She greeted him as if they were old friends bumping into each other.
But her eyes were filled with cold, murderous intent.
Scott's face remained expressionless.
"Still so cold," the Black Queen pouted, then turned her gaze toward Erik and smiled faintly. "Do you have a death wish?"
Not only had he betrayed her—but now he dared to side with the enemy?
Erik stared at her in silence, his eyes ice-cold. More and more metal fragments from the battlefield floated toward him.
"Damn it, enough with the talking!"
Logan cursed impatiently and charged forward.
Remy LeBeau sighed, cards beginning to appear between his fingers.
At our age, you really shouldn't be the one rushing in first…
His eyes glowed with pink energy. As the energy surged into the cards, Remy flung them with sharp, unpredictable angles straight toward the Black Queen.
At the same time, Cyclops pressed his visor, releasing twin beams of energy toward her.
The Black Queen cast a glance at the three attackers—but her focus remained on Charles and Erik.
Erik stretched out both arms, summoning a storm of metal. Charles's eyes flashed as his psychic energy surged toward the Black Queen.
But she had already formed a mental shield using her life force, creating a strong psychic defense.
With a spatial twist, she vanished from sight. While dodging Cyclops's crimson beam, she injected her life force into the earth below.
Once again, she seized control of the ground. The terrain twisted and rolled like waves, throwing Logan off balance—just as a massive earthen hand slammed down, pinning him beneath the soil.
"Logan!"
Remy LeBeau roared. His eyes blazed with pink light that almost seemed solid. Slamming his palms against the ground, glowing pink lines burst forth, writhing like twisted vines and spreading furiously.
And then… they exploded.
Boom! Boom!
The ground shook. The rolling earth halted, and every place the pink energy touched erupted into deep craters.
Logan finally broke free from the restraints.
But at that moment, two scarlet beams blasted Remy LeBeau off his feet.
"Scott!"
Everyone was stunned and turned toward him.
Scott was now covered in layers of soil, almost like a clay statue, with only his tightly shut eyes still visible.
He'd been subtly taken over?
Boom, boom!
Dodging the metallic downpour raining from the sky like bullets, the Black Queen glanced mockingly at the group.
But just then, a sharp pain pierced her mind.
"Ugh!"
She let out a cry of pain, startled.
Even her psychic shield couldn't completely block Charles?
That brief distraction was enough. Under Erik's control, the flying metal pieces formed into a disk, rescuing Scott and flying him out of harm's way.
At the same time, Logan rushed to help Remy LeBeau to his feet.
Erik waved his hand, immediately taking control of Logan and lifting Remy LeBeau as they flew off the battlefield.
At the same time, Charles's voice echoed in their minds.
"Leave it to me and him."
The three of them nodded in response.
The Black Queen didn't pay any attention to Logan and Remy. Her gaze flickered toward Erik and Charles. Then, with a twist of space, she vanished from sight, only to reappear several dozen meters away.
"She's trying to escape!"
Charles said calmly, glancing at Erik. Their eyes met, both sharing a faint smile.
"Then let's take her down."
Erik replied coldly, raising his hand. A large amount of metal flew toward them, forming a protective shield that carried them into the sky. As they soared upward, Erik stretched his hand toward the distant S.H.I.E.L.D. building, gripping it tightly.
The building trembled as the metal within it tore apart, breaking into chunks that were pulled toward them by Erik's control.
Meanwhile, protected by Erik, Charles's eyes flashed. His psychic power erupted, crashing into the Black Queen's mind.
As the space twisted, the Black Queen blinked away, but the psychic force followed, slamming into her mental shield.
In an instant, cracks appeared in her shield.
She clutched her head in pain, her body frozen in place, just as she was about to teleport again.
"Damn it!"
She looked up at the two figures now hovering in the sky, already chasing her. Her expression darkened.
Her teleportation distance was too short. With Charles's interference, she couldn't escape the battlefield.
"Then I'll just have to kill them."
With that thought, the Black Queen stood firm.
She stared at the metal Erik controlled, a crazed look beginning to form in her eyes.
Her life force surged within her, and with a muttered incantation, it transformed into destructive energy. As she raised her palm, it shot out like a blue-black torrent toward the two of them.
At the same time, she began reinforcing her psychic shield with her life force, counteracting the growing mental assault from Charles.
Though the spectacle of Erik's metal manipulation was terrifying, what truly unsettled her was Charles.
She could feel that Charles's psychic abilities were even more formidable than the White Queen's.
Erik snorted coldly. The metal, swirling like dark clouds, descended rapidly at his command, meeting the blue-black torrent head-on.
The two forces collided in mid-air, disintegrating each other. A massive amount of metal was shredded, transforming into fine dust that floated down, glinting like shimmering rain under the sunlight.
But before the dust could reach the ground, the flying metal particles quickly reformed into metal bullets, under Erik's control, shooting in all directions toward the Black Queen. Meanwhile, the steel and concrete torrents trailing behind Erik surged upward, gathering at a higher point, ready to strike.
The Black Queen instinctively tried to dodge, but the sharp pain in her head from Charles's psychic attack was interfering with her thoughts. She couldn't be sure if she could maintain her psychic shield while using her teleportation.
Seeing the golden barrage of bullets coming toward her, she shouted angrily. Her life force poured out from her body, merging with the incoming metal bullets, and with a wave of her hand, she halted them mid-air.
Though she couldn't control the metal itself, she could use her life force as a medium to control it, much like how she had manipulated the earth earlier.
The chilling bullet rain paused in mid-air. Both sides used their powers to wrest control of the metal.
"Hmph."
Erik chuckled softly, extending his palm toward the sky. With a forceful grip, a massive stone, formed from steel and concrete, appeared—its diameter easily tens of meters. It plummeted toward the ground like a falling star!
