Isla turned around just in time to see Zorian press a soft kiss to Ishara forehead. It was a soft kiss that lingered and was filled with something so gentle and raw that it made Isla's heart flutter. It looked so sweet. Then, Ishara looked up at him with her tearfilled eyes and he leaned forward again kissing her on the lips tenderly.
"I need you to wait for me. I need to take care of something." He murmured against her lips. "I promise to come back soon."
He kissed her for the last time, slower this time as though he didn't want to let go of her. And then he pulled back reluctantly and then left his small,old house, closing the door behind him.
Suddenly—
Isla felt as though the ground had shifted and the world around her dissolved like it had done before.
She didn't scream as she was already used to it already. She only held her breath as the darkness swirled around her and then—
Everywhere suddenly turned white.
