The mongoose's sharp claws collided with the halo, and the golden shards, like numerous sharp blades, disintegrated the mongoose's hands into pieces.
Realizing something was amiss, the mongoose used its tail, which had landed on the ground, like a spring to bounce backwards, making an effort to escape out of the halo's range.
