After thinking about all this, Laurent got up in the middle of the night, took her phone, and sent Dave a message:
"I've decided to go to A.T. If you can accept it, then come back and we'll remarry. If you can't accept it, then goodbye."
After sending the message, she turned off her phone and went back to sleep peacefully.
On the other side, Dave hadn't really slept. He hadn't contacted her, and she hadn't reached out either. How could he sleep like that? He tossed and turned all night.
When he received her message, he couldn't sleep at all. He jumped up from the bed, picked up his phone, and reread her message over and over again, word by word. His anger built up, and he grabbed the cigarette on his nightstand, lighting it and smoking furiously.
He was furious, but she was even more ruthless—she was telling him that if he didn't accept, it would be over!
Was she breaking up with him?
