Tesoro looked at the hellish scene of Sharlia sitting on Jason's lap and feeding him. Although he had seen it himself, Tesoro still broke into a cold sweat at the way Jason treated a celestial dragon. Unconsciously, he looked at Sharlia's ass, since the outfit she was wearing was very short and naughty - no matter how hard he looked, he couldn't see anything there.
Controlling his expression, Tesoro quickly arrived in front of Jason and greeted him with a smile on his face.
"Welcome to Gran Tesoro, Mr. Jason. Your stay here is on the house. If I had known you were coming, I would have greeted you upon your arrival."
"With his characteristic pink suit, Tesoro opened his arms and greeted Jason warmly.
'Haha, it's my fault for showing up unannounced, Mr. Tesoro. I'm really enjoying the hospitality and the place.'"
Jason spoke with a polite smile, without any pretension, acting like the fair and courteous gentleman he is.
Tesoro looked at Jason with a surprised tone upon seeing that he was quite different in person. In the footage, he seemed like a completely different man — a lunatic who loved to fight.
In person, he had a calm and even aristocratic air, unlike the strong individuals he had met or witnessed before.
"I'm glad you're enjoying your time here."
After exchanging a few words with Jason, Tesoro invited him to the most exclusive VIP rooms.
Not really caring much about it, Jason simply followed him to see what this casino-ship had to offer.
While Jason followed Tesoro, Sharlia trailed right behind with a submissive expression and her head lowered.
Jason glanced at Tesoro and remembered everything he knew about him.
He was a child who dreamed of entering the entertainment industry, wanting to become a singer. However, due to growing up in poverty, he had to turn to a life of crime and became a small-time gangster. Everything changed when he met Stella, a slave whom he came to love. Tesoro made it his life's goal to work and save money so one day he could buy Stella's freedom. But, as this is the world of One Piece, his dream was shattered when Stella was bought by a Tenryuubito and, due to the harsh treatment, she died two years later, causing Tesoro to lose his sanity and return to a life of crime after escaping slavery.
Due to his complicit and criminal ways, he was able to establish Gran Tesoro and fulfill his dream, although his dark past had made him distorted and corrupt.
After Stella's death and his own failure to buy her freedom, Tesoro became insatiably greedy and opulent, with an obsession for money and wealth, making his personal goal to accumulate so much of both that he could surpass the World Nobles and become the most powerful person in the world. His personal philosophy is that people can only succeed with money. His experiences made him somewhat sadistic, as he takes pleasure in seeing people suffer, which he calls "entertainment."
As you can see, Tesoro lives a luxurious and extravagant lifestyle, as he holds supreme power over gold. He possesses an Akuma no Mi that he stole from the Donquixote Pirates. Upon discovering that Tesoro had stolen an Akuma no Mi that originally belonged to him, Doflamingo tried to kill him multiple times, but failed in all attempts and decided that it would be better to form a partnership with him. It was Doflamingo who provided Tesoro with connections to the World Government and the underworld. They are still supposed to be partners, but this partnership is likely tense, as Tesoro intends to betray Doflamingo in the future.
Jason thought about Tesoro's tragic past and once again realized the tragic reality of slavery in the world of One Piece.
"Mr. Jason, what is your goal here?"
Tesoro spoke upon hearing Jason follow him in complete silence.
"I'm not welcome here, Tesoro?"
I asked with a smile on my face.
"N-no, that's not it. Hahaha, it's just that it doesn't make sense for someone like you to come to my casino, since the Navy and the World Government are after you."
Tesoro broke into a cold sweat, wondering if he spoke too soon.
"Don't think too much about it. I came here because I heard this is the best place for entertainment in the world. I want to have some fun before heading to war."
Jason spoke of the Marineford war so casually that even Tesoro became nervous.
"Y-you're serious about that?"
"Of course. This war should be tougher, since the World Government is probably involved. Who do you think will try to kill me? One of the five old men, or some of the Divine Knights?"
Tesoro felt a chill run down his spine and quickly looked back, his eyes widening as he saw the fighting intent Jason was unconsciously releasing. The pressure was equal to or greater than many of the Yonkou.
'C-crazy. This guy could destroy my ship if he fights here,' Tesoro thought, but he was too powerless to do anything other than make sure Jason enjoyed himself and didn't destroy his precious dream.
"We've arrived, Mr. Jason."
A door opened, and Tesoro and Jason entered. Blinding light poured through the door, revealing a beautiful casino with people enjoying themselves, spending their money, smiling, and flirting with beautiful women.
"N-no. This is wrong! I was supposed to win."
Jason's hearing identified a small commotion. It was a man in decent clothes, shouting as he was dragged by some guards into a dark and suspicious room. A red-haired woman with dark skin was watching everything with a subtle smile on her face.
Jason noticed that she was the user of the Luck-Luck Fruit, Baccarat.
"Nice place you have here, Mr. Tesoro,"
Jason said while looking around, his eyes landing on the end of a performance by a girl with long purple hair tied in a bun. Jason remembered that she was the Phantom Thief, Carina. He laughed upon hearing that name, since one of his wives had the same nickname.
"Thank you for the compliment, Mr. Jason."
Tesoro responded in a humble tone, but Jason could feel the pride he had while hearing the compliment.
Suddenly, a girl started approaching them. When she saw Jason and especially Sharlia, her eyes widened, her steps stopped for a few seconds, and she tried to maintain a calm and serene expression.
"Baccarat, I want you to ensure that Mr. Jason's stay is perfect and that he lacks for nothing."
Tesoro spoke to his concierge, who looked at Jason with a charming smile.
"Jason D. Winchester."
Jason introduced himself to her with a disarming smile and offered her a handshake, making her eyes subtly sparkle. But she knew it wouldn't be a smart move to use her powers now.
"Baccarat, it's a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Jason."
"I feel the same."
"Good. If you'll excuse me, I have to prepare for my performance. I hope you enjoy it, Mr. Jason."
Tesoro spoke with a smile and prepared to leave.
"Ah, Mr. Tesoro, I heard some Celestial Dragons are staying here. I hope I don't run into any of them, as I can't stand those damned worms."
Jason spoke with a smile on his face, making Baccarat and Tesoro sweat nervously, quickly looking around to see if anyone had heard what Jason just said.
"Of course, if they're as beautiful as my maid here, I might let it slide."
Slap~
"Hnnnng~"
Baccarat and Tesoro still hadn't recovered from the shock when Jason left their minds blank again by giving Sharlia a hard slap on the backside, making the former Celestial Dragon moan.
"... Don't worry. I'll do my best to prevent that encounter."
"Good. Since I'm not irrational, I won't go around attacking them, but if they annoy me, I won't give them a second chance."
Jason said, placing a hand on Sharlia's waist and Baccarat's, guiding the girls toward the center of the casino.
Baccarat simply followed mechanically, not even caring about what Jason was doing.
**
"Mr. Jason, I'll give you free chips worth 100 million Berries."
Baccarat, now a bit calmer, spoke with a professional smile.
"I'll accept those chips."
Jason took the chips from Baccarat and calmly walked toward a roulette table, where people were losing their bets. Several people were shocked by his presence, having seen him on the giant screen, and Jason's appearance was hard to forget.
Everyone was also shocked by the way Sharlia was dressed, but it had already become tiresome, and Jason didn't care about their reactions — it couldn't be helped. The people here had been conditioned since childhood to fear the Celestial Dragons. Only fools like Luffy and reincarnated individuals wouldn't be afraid to strike or kill a Celestial Dragon.
"Are you going to play, sir?"
A trembling croupier asked.
"I'll bet a hundred million... on black 10."
He said, as casually as if he were buying bread. After all, the money wasn't his.
A sharp silence fell over the hall. Even the croupier, trained not to be shaken, hesitated for a second before accepting the chips, which glowed slightly under the golden light from the ceiling.
The roulette spun. The ball bounced, hopping from number to number, while the crowd held its breath. Jason, on the other hand, didn't even blink. His ocean-blue eyes were fixed on black 10, as though his will had weight in the world.
Clack.
The ball fell. It spun once more. And then it stopped.
10. Black.
"We have a winner!" the croupier shouted, stunned.
The table erupted in murmurs and shouts. Jason merely crossed his arms and gave a slight smile, as if he had predicted the outcome from the beginning.
"3 billion and 500 million in winnings. A total of 3.6 billion, sir," the croupier said, already instructing to collect the avalanche of chips to deliver to Jason.
"Hahaha, who would have thought it would be so easy to make money?"
Jason looked at Baccarat and smiled at her. "Looks like you gave me some luck with those 100 million, darling."
"... Thank you."
She said, with a charming smile, but it was clearly forced.
"Seems like luck really likes you, huh?"
"Haha, what can you do, right? It seems like luck really loves me."
Jason approached Baccarat, invading her personal space and getting dangerously close to her beautiful face.
Baccarat forced a laugh, but there was sweat on the back of her neck.
"Let's continue, the night is still young, and I want to have more fun."
Jason gently lifted Baccarat's chin, making her feel a little intimidated by his touch.
"Let's play a bit on the slot machines."
Jason said as he walked towards the section with several golden machines.
As he observed these golden machines, Jason's attention was drawn to the biggest one — The Queen of Gold, a machine no one had won on in years, with a jackpot of over 20 billion.
The crowd held their breath. Baccarat hurried over, trying to control the situation.
"This machine is just for display. No one has ever won on it."
"Because it was waiting for me, princess."
Jason simply smiled at her and placed a single golden chip into the machine. The machine glowed.
He pulled the lever with one hand, almost as if he were bored.
Ding... ding... ding...
First reel: Golden Crown
Second reel: Golden Crown
Third reel: Spinning... slower...
Golden Crown.
Complete silence.
The machine trembled. The lights in the casino flickered. An alarm blared, and digital coins began to rain down from the screen like a cascade of golden lasers.
— JACKPOT!!!
The panel screamed in flaming letters. Above the machine, the number glowed:
20,000,000,000 Berries.
Jason turned to Baccarat, completely amused.
"Luck? I created it. It calls me 'Daddy.'"
Baccarat felt her legs give way, and Jason caught her by the waist before she could fall.
"Calm down, baby. We still have some fun to have."
Jason held Baccarat like a gentleman, but if he could see the expression she was making, he only smiled playfully. He felt something pulling at his luck, but he didn't care much about it since he knew it wouldn't affect him.
"How about we play the game that has your name, kitten? Just you and me."
Baccarat, feeling luckier than Jason, smiled beautifully at him and agreed with his words.
