Chapter 125 - Sculpting II

As soon as Blade stepped outside, he saw James sitting near the smithy, waiting.

"You were waiting?" Blade asked, raising an eyebrow.

James nodded. "Yeah, I wanted to see what you'd make, so I stuck around," he admitted.

Blade smirked and reached into his inventory, pulling out the Sealed Lightning Hell Duke Sword. It was a longsword with an obsidian-black hilt, a sleek silver blade, and three rune-like engravings glowing faintly along the steel.

"Here it is," Blade said, tossing it to James.

James caught the sword, inspecting its weight but saying nothing at first. "Thank you," he said after a moment.

Blade raised an eyebrow. "Aren't you going to check its stats?" he asked.

James shook his head. "You made it, so I trust it. No need to check."

Blade rolled his eyes at James' overconfidence. "Just inspect it, or how else will you know what skills you got?"

James hesitated, then sighed. "Fine, fine," he muttered, activating the inspection skill. As expected, the sword's stats appeared before him, causing his eyes to widen.

"You actually made this?" James asked in disbelief.

Blade chuckled. "I was the only one in smithy when it was forged, so yeah," he replied smugly.

James whistled. "Damn, you're seriously blessed by the gods of blacksmithing....I mean games."

Blade shrugged. "It'll grow up to Legendary rating, but you'll have to use it for a long time and feed it many more battles for that to happen," he explained.

James grinned. "Even at this rank, its attack power is enough to match a Legendary weapon. I can't wait to see how strong it gets when it actually becomes one."

Blade smirked. "Well, good luck with that."

James nodded. "You too. Gotta go, got a raid to do with my guild," he said before leaving.

Blade stretched and looked up at the evening sky. "I guess it's time to do some Sculpting," he muttered to himself.

---

A short while later, Blade found himself sitting near the fountain, looking at the piece of wood in his hand.

"What should I carve?" he mumbled, closing his eyes as he thought about the subject.

"I guess I should carve her," he decided, opening his eyes and beginning to move his sculpting knife.

Slowly but steadily, the piece of wood in his hand started to take shape, transforming into a beautiful lady in knight armor. His hands moved skillfully, each stroke of the blade refining the details with precision.

As Blade continued carving, the details of the knightly figure became more refined. The flowing hair, the intricate engravings on the armor, and the determined expression on her face all took shape under his careful touch.

"Almost there..." he murmured, his focus unwavering.

He carved with precision, ensuring that every feature carried the essence of the person he was depicting. The final touch was her eyes—filled with determination, yet carrying a warmth that made her more than just a warrior.

As he leaned back and examined his work, a sense of satisfaction washed over him. The wooden sculpture of Mercedes, clad in her knight armor, was complete.
