After reviewing the Hero's upcoming schedule, the Count nodded his head.
"In the time to come, you'll stay here. There are many guest rooms in the mansion, and your luggage will be delivered later."
Upon hearing this, the Hero hurriedly reached for pen and paper.
But the Count stretched out his hand to gently press down and stopped her.
"Don't be polite, consider it a father's repayment."
The Count, with eyes the same color as the little girl's, earnestly looked at the Hero.
"I've naturally heard about your adventure with my daughter. Without you, I might have lost her, and just thinking about it now scares me.
"While helping a friend might be natural for you, so too is the act of repaying a benefactor for me.
"Please, do not let this inadequate father feel ashamed again."
Had the Count been the one to plan his daughter's trip, he certainly wouldn't have settled for just those four young guards.
