Once Lin Fu made up her mind, others became indecisive, even advising her to reconsider.
Fu Xing, the one who raised the issue, said nothing but stood up, "Monger, see them out."
"Yes!"
Monger walked in and gestured for everyone to follow, "Ladies and gentlemen, please!"
"Thank you."
Everyone stood up, saluted in the direction Fu Xing had left, and then followed Monger out.
Lin Fu lingered behind, standing in place with mixed emotions as she watched Fu Xing's retreating figure, unable to pinpoint exactly what she was feeling.
Painful?
Disheartened?
Grieved?
Or unwilling?
All of them, perhaps!
But she certainly didn't regret her choice.
She couldn't abandon her teammates, nor deny them, though it was just one choice for her, for Mervin and the others, it was devastating.
Perhaps they would never surpass others.
Even though they were so talented.
