Chapter 15 - Chapter 15: Summerween

The family van drove into a parking lot and ending up parking the wrong way into a handicap zone. Everyone, including Soos, got out.

The kids didn't know what was going on, Stan had told them they weren't going to work today, and he had a surprise for them in town. They would've been thrilled, but when Grunkle Stan said there was a surprise or was taking you somewhere, you had to be skeptical, or ready to run from the cops.

They tried to ask Soos, but he was sworn to secrecy by Stan.

But, they also had to prepare as well, due to a couple of friends from Royal Woods visiting for 4th of July. Their parents couldn't come, but they promised they would be, a couple of days before Dipper and Mabel's birthday.

As it turned out, it was one of the reasons the kids were in Gravity Falls, which was due to Lynn Sr.'s dream of owning a restaurant and being a Chef. He had finally gotten the permits and other things that would allow him to open up his own restaurant. He had to do a couple of more things, and it was going to be a stressful time.

It just so happen that Rita had convinced Stan to let the kids stay for the summer, that they needed the kids out of the house for a bit. Mainly with her and Lynn Sr. not wanting the kids to stay at home and do nothing. And also allowing Lynn Sr. the time to plan what the restaurant would be like. But he wouldn't start the building stage until the kids got back from Gravity Falls.

Stan got out of the car and said," Here we are, the Summerween Superstore!"

"Summer what?" Luna asked.

"Summerween!" Stan said and pulled out a calendar. "The people of this town love Halloween so much, they celebrate it twice a year. And wouldn't you know it, it's today!"

Everyone gasped, and had fearful expressions. One of the reasons was that they got a chill, and didn't want to know the expression of one particular person. Lola was the most vocal, when she managed to pull her Great Uncle down to her level by his shirt.

"Grunkle Stan! Please tell us the town doesn't celebrate April Fool's Day twice a year, and it's during the summer!" She frantically asked.

Dipper and Lincoln, who were closets to Luan, gulped when they saw the wheels turning in their sister's head. And they could also see her mouth twitching, as if she was going to smile they way she normally did when it was close or was April Fools Day.

Stan brushed Lola off and said," Sheesh kid, relax. No they don't, it's only on April 1st."

"Dang'it." Luan sadly said.

Hearing that, everyone else sighed in relief. And also flinched when memories of past April fool's days Luan had put them through. Lucy on the other hand, raised her hand.

"Uh, yeah kid, what is it?" Stan said with a raised eyebrow.

"So, if Summerween is another Halloween. Can I make a haunted house?" She said in her a way of slight excitement.

Stan laughed, went over to ruffle her hair and said," Kid, your mother sent me photos of your last haunted house. I support you on it, only if we get to pay admission."

"That could work." Lucy said, but still had her blank look.

Stan raised a brow and said," You don't seem excited."

Lincoln grinned and said," Oh she is, Grunkle Stan, she's just excited in her own way."

"Does anyone else feel that Summerween seems, unnatural?" Mabel asked.

"There's free candy! And there are some parties tonight as well." Soos said.

A few minutes later, everyone was inside getting stuff. Dipper was pushing a shopping cart, with Mabel holding onto the front, while Lola and Lana stood inside the cart.

"To the costume aisle!" They said.

Soos, Luan and Leni were looking at a couple of shelves that had Cackling Skulls. Soos pressed the button and the skull said.

"I'd lend you a hand… but I don't seem to have any!" it said and it cackled.

The three of them laughed and Soos said," Haha, this guy tells it like it is. But he isn't good as you, Luan."

Luan smiled and said," Thanks Soos, I handle praise and appreciation pretty well! Haha!"

"Ooo, press it again! Press it again!" Leni said excitedly.

"Sir, could you and your friends please stop pushing that?" A disgruntled employee said.

"Ma'am, make these heads less hilarious, and you got yourself a deal." Soos said and pressed the skull again, and it cackled.

Lynn lifted a barrel of fake blood, while Lucy had a list, and was writing something down.

"How many barrels of this stuff do you need?" She asked.

Lucy tapped the pencil on the pad in thought, and then said," Just two. Lori and Luna have gotten the other stuff. I just hope I'll be ready for tonight."

Lynn knew that any normal person wouldn't be able to figure out Lucy Loud. But she knew her little goth sister well, and knew when she was upset and slightly fearful, the latter being something that Lucy was rarely or scarcely was.

Lynn then placed the barrel of blood on the floor, placed a comforting hand on her little sister's shoulder and said," Hey, the only person I know who can make a good Haunted House ever since she was 5. It's Lucy Loud, you'll do great."

Lucy had a rare grin and said," Thanks Lynn."

Lynn affectionately punched her shoulder and said," No problemo Luce, now I got this barrel, while Stan got the other one. Right Grunkle Stan?"

Stan picked up another barrel of blood and said," Got it kid. Ha, ha! When the kids come to what we got planned tonight, they'll run away screaming. From none of other than Stan Pines, and Lucy Loud, Master's of Fright!" He said, and said boo to a nearby baby, and he cried.

"I like scaring people, but even I don't scare babies." Lucy said.

The store worker looked on at the noise and disruption the Loud's were creating in annoyance. She got out her walkie-talkie and said," Have the police come and eject the Loud family from the store.

"NOT TODAY!" Stan declared and threw a smoke bomb.

The worker was blinded, and that gave time for everyone to run out of the store with everything they had gotten.

"Hey Grunkle Stan, you paid for this stuff, right?" Leni asked.

"Of course!" Stan said.

That was a lie, what Stan had given the clerk had was a couple of his 'Stan Bucks'.

Later around dusk, the Loud's, along with the help of Soos, Bobby and Ronnie Anne were busy getting the shack ready for the night. Instead of having the haunted house outside, Lucy decided to have it inside the museum part of the house instead. Stan didn't have a problem with it, considering it would get more people inside the shack, and he would have people pay admission to go inside.

Add onto the fact that they had limited supplies and time to come up with the haunted house. And also to spread the word out about it, which also included making flyers that didn't promise something, due to them not wanting a repeat of last time.

Sure that time only had people mad, and leaving, but the possibility of the townspeople forming an angry mob was likely.

Right now, everyone was in the living room, figuring out what they were going to do.

Lori was looking a list and said, "Ok, so Lucy would be Grim Reaper. Lisa and Soos will handle the lights and special effects, as long as it doesn't give us radiation. Luna will handle the spooky music, Luan will be the Mad Scientist. Lynn and Ronnie Anne will handle chasing people inside. Stan, Leni, Bobby and I will scare as well. And both sets of twins and Lincoln might go trick-or-treating."

"We'll give some candy if we have extra… because we are going to dominate! Whoo!" Lana and Lola cheered and high-fived.

"I'm so excited! We're so gonna get the most candy, and have the biggest stomachaches ever!" Mabel cheered as well.

"You got that right!" Dipper said and high-fived his sister.

Soos, who was wearing a Superhero costume looked impressed and said," Dudes, I've never seen you guys so pumped."

"Hey, Lucy's haunted houses always rock, dude. And it makes her happy, see." Luna said, and pointed at Lucy.

Soos studied her for a second and said," Yep, I can see it, very cute."

"And let's not forget the fact back home, me, Dipper, Lola and Lana were the Kings and Queens of Trick-or-Treating." Mabel said and showed him a scrap book of all of their costumes. "Twins in costumes, the people eat it up."

"If only I had Lily with me and we could've done our Kangaroo costume. We received a fair amount of sugary sweets last Hallow's Eve." Lisa said.

"Well, I see you kids got everyone settled, I'm gonna get into my costume, won't be able to scare the suckers without it." Stan said and left to go to his room.

"With the way he looks most of the time, I'm surprised he wouldn't go as himself." Luan joked and everyone laughed.

"I heard that!" Stan yelled.

Lori then looked at Bobby and said," I hope you didn't mind skipping Tambry's party for this, Boo-Boo Bear."

"Wait, party?" Dipper said, interested.

"Yeah, little Loud. Tambry's parent's are out of town, and she's throwing a Summerween party." Bobby explained.

"Sounds fun dudes. But it's possibility a good thing you guys aren't going. It's a night of ghoul's and goblins. Not to mention… the Summerween Trickster!" Soos said as he shines a flashlight in his face.

Leni screamed, which made everyone jump. She then jumped behind the couch, and fearfully looked around.

"S-summerween T-trickster?" She stuttered.

"The Summer-what-what?" Mabel said.

"The Trickster goes door to door, so the legend goes, eating children who lack the Summerween spirit." Soos explained.

Ronnie Anne scoffed and said," Don't know man, that sounds lame and I know lame, right lame-o?" She said and elbowed Lincoln, who rolled his eyes.

"And besides, if we're literally toying with if he's real. Then we're good, we're doing a Haunted House, it doesn't get more into the spirit than that." Lori said.

"We could hold a Séance and summon some spirits, then it will be truly haunted." Lucy suggested.

"No." Everyone said.

"Sigh." Lucy said.

Dipper was about to eat a piece of candy and said, "Still, you don't have to worry about us." He then ate piece put spit it out. "Ugh! What is this stuff?"

"Let me see bro… Sand Pop? Gummy Chairs? Mr. Adequate-Bar? What kind of brands are these?" Lincoln scrutinized.

"Jeez, I guess they aren't adequate enough, ha!" Luan laughed, and everyone groaned.

"Needs work, dude. But, you should all quiet your discontent, lest the Trickster overhears." Soos warned.

"Uh, Soos, your cape is like, caught on your zipper."

"Touché." He said and ate a gummy.

Lana then ate one of the pieces Lincoln had and said," Don't know what's wrong with them, they taste good."

"Well, if you all are going to talk about dumb stories, I'm going to change into my costume. Let's go Lana." Lola said.

"Right behind you, I'm just gonna take some that." She said and ran off.

"I think we should do the same." Lori said.

"You do that, I'm going to stay behind here." Leni said behind the couch.

Which didn't last long, due to Lori and Bobby dragging her out of the living room.

Later, the doorbell rang, and everyone had gotten their costumes ready.

"Trick-or-Treaters. Quick! Give' em that terrible candy. And make sure to tell them to pay to go into the haunted house!" Stan yelled from somewhere in the house.

Dipper, who was still in his regular clothes, was nearest to the door. Got the candy and opened the door.

"Happy Summerw-AHH!" He yelped in shcok, and dropped the bowl.

"Sup, squirt." Robbie said.

"Hey Dipper!" Wendy said.

"Wendy! Ha, ha!" He then backed into the staircase." Ow… wha-what's up, guys?"

"I left my jacket here. Again." Wendy said.

"And we wanted to check out the haunted house your cool spooky sister made. What's with the candy? You're goin' trick-or-treating or something?" Robbie said.

"Well, actually, I, uh-"

Luna chose that time to walk into the room, she had skeleton face paint on, and was wearing a hoodie.

"Hey guys, hope you're here for the haunted house. How's Tambry's party so far, hear it's goin to be rockin." She said and fist-bumped them.

"Haven't gone yet, Lune's. Bobby sent out this text about the Haunted House. Considering I'm the expert of these things, I wanted to check it out." Robbie said.

"Well, entrance is the gift shop, and Stan had the idea of making it a $5 entrance fee."

"Yeah, and I'll see you guys at the party, after this. Everyone else can handle the Haunted House." Dipper butt in.

Luna raised a brow, and was about to comment, but Robbie beat her to it.

"If you're not too busy playing dress up." He quipped.

Wendy elbowed him and said," It's at 9. Luna, you and the others are welcomed. Don't forget. C'mon, let's go see that Haunted House."

The both of them walked to the gift-shop, and Luna closed the door. She crossed her arms and raised a brow at her brother. Dipper nervously smiled.

"Bro, what was that?"

"What was what?"

"Luke, you're too young for this. I mean, I know you hung out with some of our friends, but going to a party with a bunch of other teenagers is not a good idea. I've been to a couple, and they can get heavy."

Dipper knew she was right and then thought of the times where everyone covered for Luna or one of the older siblings when they were arriving late from a party. But if he and the others can handle all the magical and weird stuff happening to them lately, then he can handle this.

"Well, you guys will be there, if your going later. It'll be fine."

Luna sighed and said," We'll see little bro, also, how are you going to tell Mabes she'll… oh shoot! I was supposed to provide the spooky atmosphere for the House!" She exclaimed and ran out of the room.

"Oh man, she's right, how am I going to tell Mabel?"

He heard Mabel talking to Candy and Grenda in the living room. And decided to tell her now. He walked into the room and saw Mabel dressed at Strawberry Jelly. Candy and Grenda were dressed at a piece of Taffy and Witch, respectively. While Lola and Lana wore their salt and pepper costumes.

"That is a very good Dipper costume." Candy complimented.

"What the hey-hey, bro-bro, where's your costume?" Mabel asked.

"Yeah, we can't get loads of candy if you don't help." Lola said.

"Look, I can't go trick-or-treating. I'm… uh, really sick. Must have been that bad candy." He said with a fake cough and fell on the floor." Go on without me."

Lana scratched her head and said," Huh, I ate the candy, and I feel fine."

Lola gave her a deadpan look and said," You do know you eat stuff out of the garbage right?"

"Point taken."

Mabel tried to support her twin by saying, "Fight through it, man! Where's your Summerween spirit?"

Someone soon knocks on the door again, and Lincoln, who was coming down the stairs, got to it first, and opened it.

A tall man that looked like he was wearing a scarecrow costume was at door.

"Trick-or-treat." He said.

Lincoln raised a brow and said," Aren't you a little old to go Trick-or-treating? If you're looking for the Haunted House it's at the next entrance. Happy Summerween anyway man."

"But, wait, I-"

Lincoln closed the door and Dipper then came in.

"Who was that?"

"Some old guy, nothing important."

"C'mon Linc, everyone's important! But still Dip, I think a little trick-or-treating will make you feel better." Mabel said.

Someone knocked on the door, and this time Dipper opened, and the same person was there.

"Look, man, just go to another house!" He said and slammed the door.

"Dipper! First Linc, and now you, where's your guy's Summerween hospitality?" Mabel admonished.

"I politely told him no, and told him about the Haunted House." Lincoln pointed out.

The knocking was heard again. By that time, Lola, Lana, Candy and Grenda were with them.

"I'm not getting that." Both brothers said.

"Well I am! And you both owe each other a soda." She then opened the door. "I apologize for my brother; he came down with a case of the grumpy-grumps. At least my other one was more polite."

"SILENCE! You have insulted me! For this you must pay… with your LIVES."

Both brothers gulped, realizing what was probably going to happen. Lola and Lana both hugged each other, realizing as well.

Mabel who looked oblivious, but had a hint of uncertainty in her voice said," Aww, what cute little mask! You're a funny guy, aren't you?"

The Trickster then entered the house.

"Funny, am I?"

A little kid dressed as a pirate walked to the door.

"Twik-owr-tweet! My name is Gorney."

The Trickster then proceeded to grab and eat him. The others screamed in terror.

"There's only one way for you to avoid his fate. I need a treat. If you can collect 500 pieces of candy, and bring it to me before the last jack-o-melon goes out." He then blew one out." I will let you live."

"500 treats in one night? That's impossible!" Dipper exclaimed.

"The choice is yours, children. You must trick-or-treat… or DIE." He said, then laughed, and then crawled onto the roof, and out of sight.

"Can't we go one day without something odd or scary happening to us!?" Lola yelled.

"Oh my gosh Mabel, do you realize what this means?" Dipper frantically said.

"I do. it means you have to come trick-or-treating! Yay!" She said and shook him.

Lincoln gave his sister a look and said," That's what you got from that?"

"Who was that guy?" Candy said.

"It's the legend Soos told us about. It's true!" Leia realized.

"What do we do, what do we do!" Grenda said as she shook Dipper.

Soos then came out of the house and said," What's goin' on out here, dudes? I heard a ruckus. Hehe. That's a funny word. Ruckus."

"Soos, the Trickster's real. He said to get him candy or he's going to literally eat us!" Lincoln said.

"I got a picture!" Candy said, and showed Soos an edited of him.

"The Summerween Trickster! Oh man, dude, you guys are in crazy bonkers trouble." Soos said.

"How are we gonna get that much candy in one night? There's no way!"

Lincoln placed a hand on his brother's shoulder and said," Of course there is. Cause we're the bro's with a plan."

Dipper smiled and said," Your right little brother. Alright, then, let's commence operation-"

Lola pulled her brother by the front of his shirt, and brought him to her level and said," We don't have time for your long plan name! We need to get candy or else we'll be eaten alive!"

Later, the group was now walking around the nearby neighborhood. Everyone was in costume, which included Lincoln in his Alistair disguise costume, while Dipper was wearing his regular clothes.

"I don't understand why we can't just buy our candy and be done with it." Dipper grumbled.

Lincoln thought about it for a second and said," Yeah, I don't know why we didn't do that."

"That's sorta takes the fun out of trick-or-treat-or-die." Mabel interjected.

"I'm trying to take the DIE out of trick-or-treat-or-die." Dipper said.

They then made it to Lazy Susan's house.

"Trick-or-treat!" They said.

"Is everyone in costume? Chimney Sweep, Elephant Man, squeegee, ant farm! Ah, twin Salt and Pepper, a butler. Oh and what are you supposed to be?" She said.

"Uh, actually, I'm not dressed up as anything. We're, we're kinda in a hurry, here." Dipper explained.

"Oh, I see." Lazy Susan then gave everyone a piece of candy, except for Lola and Lana, who she gave them an armful, while for Dipper, nothing. "Enjoy!" She said and closed the door.

"Told you the twins in our family got the most." Lincoln said to Soos, who nodded in approval.

"Once again our cute twin costumes got us some candy… hey don't eat that!" Lola said.

Lana had already eaten a piece, and then realized what was going on. She blushed and said" Oops, my bad."

"I only got a piece of black licorice." Grenda said.

"Circus peanut! This is loser candy." Candy said.

Lincoln looked at his piece and said," Ok, we need to up our game. Lola and Lana can't do all the work. Luke, your going to need to break out your costume. It's time for double twin costume time." He said the last part in a serious tone.

"I told you, I'm not up to it." Dipper said and faked coughed.

"Oh really?" A voice said.

The Trickster was onto of a lamppost. He then climbed down, and landed on Soos's shoulders, and looked at what he got.

"The younger ones are the only ones who are doing something. You better do more. Tick tock." He said as he blew out a candle, and jumped high into the air, out of sight.

"I wonder how he can be that flexible. I could use moves like that for when a pageant has a Gymnastics segment." Lola said, and this caused everyone to give her looks.

Leia looked at Dipper and said, "So what was that about being too sick to wear a costume?"

Dipper sighed, kicked a rock and said," I wonder how the others are fairing."

Back at the shack, the sound of crackling electricity, and pipe organ was heard, and then singing.

Terror is gripping

Ghouls and ghosts are coming for ya

You can run but can you hide?

The sound of people screaming was heard, and a group of kids, two of them being dressed up as a soldier and a mummy ran out, and took a breath.

"Man, that was scary! But cool!" The soldier kid said.

"Yeah, whoever made that haunted house, knows how to scare people." The Mummy kid agreed.

Inside, the Loud's, Santiago's and Stan got out of their positions, and high-fived each other at another good scare run.

"Man, we are killing it tonight! It may not be Halloween, but we are still scaring the crud of people." Lynn said.

"Yep, sigh, I just wished Royal Woods did the same." Lucy said.

Ronnie Anne thought about something and said," I wonder what the others are doing right now? Especially Lincoln, he was supposed to help us out."

"Oh, he literally said something about helping the others with getting candy. Makes sense, having both sets of twins out there is a force to be reckoned with." Lori said.

Back with the others, they had started to gather more momentum. Dipper had finally agreed to wear his costume, which was Peanut Butter, which made his matching with Mabel's strawberry jelly costume.

Due to the group effort of the youngest and oldest Loud twin sets, they were getting a lot of candy. They also noticed how other people were blowing out their Jack-o-melons, which meant they needed to hurry.

Lincoln was the one who was tallying all the candy up, he wasn't like Lisa, but he was doing good.

"Alright, we just went past the 225 mark! We are on a roll!" He exclaimed.

When they got to the next house, when the door opened, Toby Determined came out.

"Hello!"

Everyone then screamed in horror at what they saw.

"What a horrible mask!" Leia exclaimed.

"It's too much, man!" Lincoln yelped.

"This is just my face. This is a mask." Toby said, and pulled out a mask, and put it on. "Roar!"

"Oh, yeah. That's actually better." Everyone agreed.

Half an hour later, Mabel was counting the candy, and with each one, they were getting closer.

"498, 499. We did it!" She said and everyone cheered. "All we need is one more piece of candy."

"And it's only 8:30. Perfect timing!" Dipper said.

Lincoln raised his brow and said," You got somewhere to be."

Lucas blinked, trying to act innocent and said," Nope."

Leia did seemed to notice, she then hugged him and said," Mwah! And your cough went away, too."

"I'm gonna go around and grab the truck. Soos, away!" Soos said and ran off.

"Let's go hit one more house. Last one there is a pair of wax lips!" Mabel said and the others, minus Lincoln and Dipper, ran to the next house.

"I guess after this, you can go to the party you wanted to go to." Lincoln said.

Dipper looked surprised at his brother and said," How did you know about that?"

"Luna told me. you would seriously stand-up your own twin, just to go to a party where your crush is attending." Lincoln said in a disappointed voice.

Dipper sighed, feeling guilty and said," Well yes that, but also, I'm just starting to feel old to trick-or-treat, and go in costume. I mean, I know the girls still dress up, but I felt I was sorta getting too old for it. Not the mention the fact I didn't want to seem like a kid to Wendy. And Robbie, but we got this cold war pact going on, and we are trying to find something to make fun of each other. I'm just glad Robbie hasn't asked Wendy out yet."

"Look bro, I get it, but your only a kid once, and we a whole summer to just hang out, relax and be ourselves. And Wendy is pretty cool person, I don't think she would mind about someone she knows is still dressing up. But Robbie yeah, I can see him making fun of you or someone else. But, we'll cross that bridge once we get there. And don't worry, I won't tell Mabel." Lincoln said.

Dipper let what Lincoln set in and said," Your right, little brother. Huh, your speech making is getting better."

"Thank you."

The heard a car, and looked behind them, and saw Robbie's van.

"Oh no, Linc help." Dipper said.

Lincoln held him get out of his costume, and hid it behind the bushes. Lincoln also hid the wheelbarrow of candy, and made sure it didn't go down the hill that led to the stream.

"Hey Dipper, and Lincoln right?" Wendy said as the van stopped next to them.

"Oh hey, Wendy. What's up?" Dipper said, playing cool.

"Yeah hi. So did you guys enjoy the haunted house?" Lincoln said.

Wendy snorted in amusement and said," Heck yeah we did! Your sister knows how to scare people. Robbie here almost pissed his pants."

Robbie shifted his eyes nervously and said," Uh, no I didn't, but it was good. I'll give your sister that."

"Yeah, but isn't she right next to you?" Lucas said.

"AH! Where?!" He yelped.

He realized he was duped, and glared at them. While Wendy and the boys laughed.

"Nice one, man. I'll see you at the party. Your brother can come as well."

"Cool. See you there." Dipper said.

The van left, and both brothers sighed, but then heard someone talk to them.

"You're going to a party?" Mabel said.

Dipper tried to salvage it by saying," Well, hey, i-"

Mabel then threw the last piece of candy at Dipper and said," That's why you were acting so weird and trying to hurry us! You're not sick at all! So if it wasn't for this crazy monster, you were gonna ditch me! on our favorite holiday!"

"Ooohh." The other said, minus Lincoln.

Lana leaned over to Lincoln and said, "Did you know about this?"

Lincoln shrugged and said," Just found out before you guys."

"Hey, where's the candy?" Lola said.

"Don't, worry. Lincoln and I hid it behind this bush." Dipper said.

He pushed it aside, and looked. The wheelbarrow had fallen into a creek, and most of the candy was floating downstream.

"What did you do?!" Mabel exclaimed.

"Well… I-"

"Uh, guys?" Grenda said.

They all looked around, to see that most of the Jack-o-Melons had gone out. But they then notice that the last one that wasn't, which was being held by Old Man McGucket.

"Stop him!" Lola yelled.

They all ran to him, and he stopped.

"Eh, what's happening?"

"Don't blow it bub! You hear me!" Lola said.

McGucket pulled out a horn and placed it at his hear and said," What?"

"She said to not blow out the candle!" Lincoln yelled.

"I'm Old Man McGucket!" He said, still not hearing, and then inhales.

Grenda rammed into McGucket, and he was about to drop it, but Lana caught it. He then ran away by climbing over cars.

"Man that was close." Lincoln said.

They all sighed in relief, which was a bad idea, due to them causing the candle to go out.

"Dang'it." They all said.

It wasn't a moment later that the Trickster walked into the light of a streetlamp.

"Knock, knock." He growled.

Lana dropped the melon, and both brothers got in front of the rest of them. Mostly brotherly protectiveness kicked in.

"So children, where's my candy?"

"I swear, we had all 500 pieces." Dipper said.

"But we can still get it." Lincoln nervously said.

The Trickster frowned, and then grew more and said," I'm afraid it's too late! That was your last chance!"

Dipper threw the last piece of candy, but it somehow absorbed into the Trickster. They all scattered when he tried to grab them. But he then grabbed Candy, and then Mabel, who tripped, and her siblings tried to get her. Then at the last second, Soos in his van, crashed into the Trickster, who exploded, and let's go of the kids.

"We're alive!" Yeah!" Grenda said.

"Ok, next summer vacation, we go somewhere else!" Lola said.

Lana nodded at her, although a little frightened.

"Thanks for the save Soos! The monster almost got us." Lincoln praised.

"Yeah, right Mabel." Dipper said, but Mabel ignored him and walked to the truck.

Lola gave her brother a look and said," Yeah, I think it's best to stop talking right now."

Lincoln put his hand on his brothers shoulder in support, and everyone got in the truck. Soos drove off, and Lucas was about to talk to Leia, but remembered what Lola said. He then decided to talk to her later, and thought about what was said earlier.

Unfortunately, they were not out of the woods yet. Due to what was supposedly left of the Trickster reforming, and then attacking them again. He then jumped on the truck, everyone screamed, but Soos then swerved the truck, which caused the Trickster to hit a lamppost and falls off.

They would've been out of the woods again, but Soos's swerving caused them to take a direct course to the Summerweeen Superstore, and they ended up crashing into it. And they soon ran into the store to find a place to hide. The kids found hiding places in the shelves, while Soos was hiding among the costumes.

"It's blocking the exit. Everyone, stay quiet!" Dipper whispered shouted.

Lola glared at him and said," Maybe we should let him take you and Lincoln. You got us into this mess."

Mabel looked at her twin and said," Oh, so now you're worried about the monster. I thought all you cared about was Wendy."

"No surprise there." Both Lola and Lola said in unisom.

Dipper ignored them and said to Mabel," You know that's not true. I just felt like I was getting too old to go trick-or-treating. I mean, the girls are the same."

"There teenagers, and that's exactly why we need to go trick-or-treating, Dipper! We're getting older, there's not that many Halloween's left! I guess I didn't realize it was already our last one."

Lincoln looked at his brother and said," She had a point. I mean, I know how you feel. It's best to live in the moment, and wait for what the future has in store. Heck, me and Clyde thought we were too old for Ace Savvy, but realized we're never too old to like the stuff we like to do."

"Wow, that's deep man." Grenda said.

"Yes, but at the matter at hand, we have to escape." Candy said.

"Yeah, but what if it sees us?" Lana said.

"If only there was something we could use to cover our bodies and faces with. You know, like a disguise of some kind." Soos said.

A minute later, the group were hiding in costumes, and were making their way to the exit.

"This way! Almost there! Soos!" Dipper said as he looked at him.

Soos was looking at the cackling heads display, and they didn't need Lisa to know what he was about to do. Even Leni would've known.

"Soos, don't do it!" Lana said.

"No, don't!" Lincoln said.

"Sorry dudes, today's been way to stressful. I need levity." He said and pressed the skull, but nothing happened.

"Oh thank goodness. It was out of batteries." She then noticed Soos was opening a pack of batteries. "Soos, no!"

Soos soon opened them, and placed them in the head. He then pressed it.

"No matter the score, I'm always a-head! Nyaha-nyaha."

"Ha! This cackling head's the voice of a generation! Wish Luan and Leni were here to hear this."

What he didn't notice, was the Trickster was behind him. He opened his mouth, and proceeded to swallow Soos. The others stared in shock, and then proceeded to grab toy weapons.

"Hey monster! Give Soos back!" Lana said.

They start to attacking the Trickster. Lana then proceeded chop off his hand, which somehow turned into candy. She picked one up, and ate it.

"Huh, taste's familiar."

Grenda then chopped off the other arm, and said," Salt Water Taffy? Gross!"

Dipper hacked off a leg, and then proceeded to taste a piece, and said," Wait, is this?"

"You really haven't figured it out yet?" The Trickster said and then grabbed everyone.

"Look at my face. Look closely." He said and took off his mask, which showed he was made of candy.

"Loser candy!" Mabel gasped.

"I've bet Lisa had something to do with this. She's always messing with some sort of science stuff." Lola said.

"I don't know who that is. But, did you ever stop and think about the candy at the bottom of the bag, that no one liked. Every year the children of Gravity Falls throw away all of the 'Rejected' candy into the dump. So I seek revenge, revenge on the picky children who cast me aside. I'm made of the every tossed piece of black, licorice, every discarded bar of old chocolate with like that white, powder stuff on it. you know that!"

"I hate that stuff!" Mabel said.

"No one would eat me. But now, I'm going to eat you." He was about to, but his stomach started to rumble. "What is that?"

He then screamed, and the next thing that added up the crazy and strange night was that Soos ripped through the Trickster's chest like a Chest-Buster from the Alien movies.

"Sup, bro?" He said casually, as if he didn't just get eaten.

The Trickster then proceeded to vomit Jelly Beans and fell to the ground. Soos then proceeded to take a piece of the Trickster and started to him.

"You dudes want some of this?"

Everyone minus Lana shook there heads. Lana shrugged and said," Meh, I've eaten weirder things." She then took a piece and chewed. "Huh, not bad."

Lola's eye twitched at what she was seeing and said in defeated voice," I'm too tired to even say what I think about this and tonight in general."

"Wait, you both actually think I taste good?" The Trickster said in disbelief.

"Uh, sure! You know." Soos said.

"Yeah, not bad." Lana said.

Lincoln noticed some of the Salt Water Taffy was near him. He looked around and proceeded to take a handful and ate some. Well, if your wondering why he's eating that, well Pop-Pop got him into it.

"All I've ever wanted is for someone to say that I was… good. I'm so happy!" He said as he cried Candy Corn.

"Crying makes it little weird." Soos commented.

"Pretty much Soos, but meh, we're still eating." Lana said with a shrug.

Something else broke through the Trickster's chest, and that person was Gorny.

"Sup, Gorny?" Soos said.

"I've been twaumatized!" He said.

The group later dropped off Gorny at his house, and went back to the shack. When they got inside, they found everyone in the living room watching TV.

"Hey guys, how was the Haunted House?" Dipper asked.

"Went great kid. Never seen Lucy here smile so brightly." Stan said.

"Yep, tonight was great." Lucy said with a visible smile.

Dipper then noticed Wendy who was carving a Jack-o-Melon on the table.

"Wendy!" He said.

"I didn't see you at the party. Where were you?" She asked.

"Uh… I was-uh… I was trick-or-treating. With my sister." He said and puts his arm around Mabel's shoulder.

Wendy smirked and said," The party was lame anyway. Robbie ate a lollipop stick-first and had to go home sick. And I see you're matching. Lori showed me previous pictures of your twin costumes. Very adorable."

Lucas blushed and then glared at Lori, who looked innocent, but Bobby was trying to not to laugh.

"So how did you lame-o's night went anyway?" Ronnie Anne asked.

"It's a long story, but we went to every single house, and we didn't even get to eat any candy!" Mabel said.

Luan went to her sister and said," Cheer up sis. Y'know the great thing about a Haunted House, that some kids brought their bags of candy, but left them after getting scared. Right Lune's?"

Luna brought up two large bags full of different candy, and everyone who went through tonight's calamity smiled.

A few minutes later, everyone was watching a movie, and eating the candy. Dipper went to Mabel, and placed a bandage on her arm that was bruised. She smiled, which meant she forgave her brother.

"You know kids? I've been thinkin'. At the end of the day, Summerween isn't about candy or costumes. Or even scaring people. It's a day when the whole family can get together at one place and celebrate what really matter. PURE EVIL!" Stan said and started to laugh maniacally.

Everyone else joined in for a few seconds, but then stopped and watched the movie.

"Lana, Lincoln and I ate a man alive today." Soos said.

Everyone who didn't know what he was talking about, gave him strange looks.
