Chapter 357 - Chapter 358: Safer by His Side

Red Queen's determined gaze remained locked on Alan. She knew she had to convince him. If he had already made up his mind, it would be nearly impossible to make him change it—no matter how many reasons she gave.

"If I go to Wakanda to fuse all the Infinity Stones, it could spell disaster for the Wakandans. It's highly likely that Thanos' forces would be drawn there," Red Queen reasoned.

After considering all possibilities, she concluded that the safest place was right beside Alan. Besides, if she went to Wakanda to fuse the stones, wouldn't that mean all the Infinity Stones would be in her hands?

That would make her an even bigger target.

Alan stroked his chin, pondering Red Queen's analysis. She made a good point. Forget about how Thanos' people might track them—if she was the one fusing the stones, the most critical ones would be on her.

His gaze slowly shifted toward Scott, who had just been called away by his manager. Alan already knew what would happen next.

"Forget I said anything. Now that I think about it, keeping you by my side might actually be the safer option," Alan admitted, failing to notice the look of relief on Red Queen's face.

At the Avengers' base, Captain America firmly rejected Tony's outrageous proposal.

"Tony, your idea is way too far-fetched. If there's even the slightest issue during the data upload—if even one number is wrong—the consequences could be catastrophic!"

Tony rolled his eyes. He had already expected this reaction from Mr. Stuck-in-the-70s. No matter what he proposed, Steve would oppose it.

Thor, Hawkeye, and the others remained silent, carefully weighing the pros and cons. They had to admit—Tony's vision was tempting.

But if this plan worked… would the Avengers even need to exist anymore?

After all, they would be creating a machine capable of protecting humanity.

"Come on, do you really not trust me and Banner?" Tony pressed a button on his remote, summoning J.A.R.V.I.S.

"Look! J.A.R.V.I.S. is standing right here in front of us. When have we not relied on him during our missions?"

J.A.R.V.I.S. had become an indispensable asset to the Avengers.

"But not all machines will be like J.A.R.V.I.S.," Steve countered. He remained firm in his stance—everything needed to be considered thoroughly.

Besides, if this project went public, Tony and Banner would be opening themselves up to a lot of trouble.

"Captain, why not give it a try?" Thor set Mjolnir down, making it clear he was siding with Tony and Banner.

"Thor, you're going along with Stark's madness too?!" Steve was stunned. He never expected Thor to agree so easily.

"Ordinary humans aren't like us," Thor explained. "They have no battle experience, no special training. I don't know why these alien threats keep coming to Earth, but if we can add another layer of protection, maybe it's not such a bad idea."

"Let's get started!" Tony ignored Steve, who angrily turned and walked away. At this moment, he thought of someoneEmperor!

If he shared this brilliant idea with him, getting his support would be far more effective than trying to convince the rest of the team.

"J.A.R.V.I.S., try to contact Emperor. Tell him to come to the base."

"Understood, sir. Attempting to establish contact now," J.A.R.V.I.S. responded.

Standing outside the back entrance of the store, Red Queen relayed the message to Alan.

"Tony wants to see me?" Alan was confused.

Why the hell would Tony Stark want to meet him?
