Chapter 38 - 7

Billy nodded slowly, his glowing green pupils flickering as he processed his thoughts. His voice was calm but carried a hint of uncertainty, as if he were piecing together fragments of a memory.

Billy: "Well... I didn't really know her to say much, but she was always firm and rigid in decisions, taking the leadership. I met her the day... It was in... I... Can't remember... I... I got it, it was September 3rd of 1988. She used to be very protective and close to me for some reason... And... Now that I think about her... I don't even know why she was important... I think it's something I may not be knowing, but must be there to be known..."

The room fell silent, the girls exchanging curious glances. Billy's words were soft but carried a weight that seemed to hang in the air. His reflection on Charlie—someone from his past who seemed to hold great significance—piqued their interest.

The girls' reactions were immediate, each responding in their own unique way to Billy's words.

Bonfie tilted her head, her ears twitching as she clasped her hands together.

Bonfie: "Ooooh~! So she was like a big sister to you?~ Or maybe even a mom?~"

She bounced slightly on her heels, her tail flicking behind her as she grinned at Billy.

Bonfie: "That's so sweet!~"

Frenni, leaning casually against the stage with a hand on her hip, smirked as she watched Billy.

Frenni: "Sounds like you had your own little guardian angel back then~. Lucky you~."

Her tone was teasing, but there was a hint of warmth in her voice as she glanced at Billy.

Chiku, standing slightly apart from the group, raised an eyebrow as she observed the scene. Her expression was as neutral as ever, but there was a flicker of curiosity in her golden eyes.

Chiku: "Hmph. Sounds like she was important to you, even if you don't remember why."

She crossed her arms, her tone matter-of-fact but not unkind.

Fexa, leaning against the wall with her arms crossed, let out a short laugh. Her sharp eyes gleamed with amusement as she watched Billy.

Fexa: "Hah. Guess even you have some mysteries in your past, huh?"

She smirked, her tail flicking lazily behind her.

Golden Frenni, still slightly flustered from Billy's earlier attention, watched him with a mix of curiosity and something she couldn't quite place. Her golden eyes followed his movements, but she remained silent, her arms crossed tightly.

Internally, she couldn't help but feel a flicker of empathy for Billy. His struggle to remember Charlie—someone who clearly meant a lot to him—resonated with her in a way she didn't expect.

Marie regarded Billy with her usual calm demeanor, her golden eyes glinting with quiet curiosity. She tilted her head slightly, her small, knowing smile never fading as she considered his words.

Marie: "Sometimes, the things we can't remember are the ones that matter the most. If she was important to you, then that importance still exists, even if the details are unclear."

Her voice was soft but carried a sense of wisdom, as if she were used to providing clarity in moments of confusion.

Marie: "Perhaps, in time, you'll remember why she meant so much to you. Until then, it's enough to know that she was someone who cared for you."

The room fell silent again, the girls' curiosity piqued. They leaned in slightly, eager to hear Billy's response. Marie's words had shifted the focus back to him, and the girls were more than happy to let her take the lead.

Billy hesitated, his glowing green pupils flickering as he processed his thoughts. He slowly tilted his head, his gaze drifting away from Marie as if lost in a distant memory. His voice was calm but carried a hint of vulnerability, as if he were revealing something deeply personal.

Billy: "Maybe... Maybe it was because she was the one who made me become Billy... I can remember I wasn't always Billy, but... I can't remember who I used to be... My name... is stuck as Billy in my mind... I can't remember anything before December 6th of 1988..."

The room fell silent, the girls exchanging curious glances. Billy's words were soft but carried a weight that seemed to hang in the air. His admission of not remembering his past—of being "made" into Billy—piqued their interest and stirred a mix of emotions among them.

Bonfie tilted her head, her ears twitching as she clasped her hands together. Her eyes sparkled with a mix of curiosity and sympathy.

Bonfie: "Ooooh~! So you're like... a whole new person now?~ That's so cool!~ But also kinda sad... Do you miss who you used to be?~"

She bounced slightly on her heels, her tail flicking behind her as she watched Billy with wide-eyed fascination.

Frenni, leaning casually against the stage with a hand on her hip, smirked as she watched Billy. Her tone was teasing, but there was a hint of thoughtfulness in her voice.

Frenni: "Sounds like you've got a bit of a mystery in your past, shiny~. But hey, if Charlie made you into Billy, then maybe she saw something special in you~."

She winked at him, her tail swishing playfully behind her.

Chiku, standing slightly apart from the group, raised an eyebrow as she observed the scene. Her expression was as neutral as ever, but there was a flicker of curiosity in her golden eyes.

Chiku: "Hmph. So you're saying you don't even know your own origin story? That's... unusual."

She crossed her arms, her tone matter-of-fact but not unkind.

Fexa, leaning against the wall with her arms crossed, let out a short laugh. Her sharp eyes gleamed with amusement, but there was a hint of intrigue in her expression.

Fexa: "Hah. Guess even you have some gaps in your memory, huh? Welcome to the club, weirdo."

His struggle to remember his past—of not knowing who he was before becoming Billy—resonated with her in a way she didn't expect. She knew what it was like to feel... incomplete.

Marie regarded Billy with her usual calm demeanor, her golden eyes glinting with quiet curiosity. She tilted her head slightly, her small, knowing smile never fading as she considered his words.

Marie: "It's not uncommon to feel disconnected from who we once were. Sometimes, the past is less important than who we choose to be in the present."

Her voice was soft but carried a sense of wisdom, as if she were used to providing clarity in moments of confusion.

Marie: "If Charlie helped you become Billy, then perhaps she saw something in you worth preserving. And now, you have the chance to decide what kind of animatronic—what kind of person—you want to be."

The room fell silent again, the girls' curiosity piqued. They leaned in slightly, eager to hear Billy's response. Marie's words had shifted the focus back to him, and the girls were more than happy to let her take the lead.
