Cha Na shifted his body among the ruins, scurrying to the edge of a broken wall, peering over; the grey barrel of a tank was slowly extending from behind a collapsed apartment building.

He gripped his rifle tightly, watching every move of the tank.

The diesel engine rumbled loudly as the tank moved onto the main road, rolling over the wreckage of a civilian sedan, half-concealing itself behind the ruins of buildings, slowly turning its cannon towards the three-story mall in the distance.

Cha Na breathed heavily, glancing around, trying to figure out a way to stop the tank from firing.

In the ruins of the three-story mall a hundred meters away, there lay guerrilla fighters who had just retreated from the west, and his uncle who had taken care of him for over four years was also there.

The barrel of the tank rotated 180 degrees and then slowly rose, finally settling at a delicate angle.

Cha Na was frantic.
