In the time it took her to speak, Allen had already flipped her onto the bed. Nami, now pinned beneath him, squirmed free and grabbed the blanket, pressing her back against the wall.
Allen, caught off guard by her escape, blinked in confusion.
"Didn't you say you still wanted it?"
"Who said that?!"
Nami's face flushed with anger. She punched the bedframe a few times, making the whole bed creak and groan. If it weren't for the thick mattress, she might have punched straight through it.
"Hey, be careful! You're not the same as before—don't break our bed!"
Allen quickly reached out to stop Nami's fist.
Though he was far stronger than Nami, she still pulled back most of her strength, worried she might hurt him.
But that didn't mean she wasn't furious. She'd been trying to have a serious conversation, and Allen had immediately turned it into that.
The young woman pouted and pointed to the other side of the bed. "Go sit over there!"
As Allen slowly moved to the other side, Nami let out a quiet sigh of relief and adopted a wounded expression.
"Nojiko is a Devil Fruit user, and that new woman on the ship is too. I want one as well!"
Allen looked at Nami in surprise. In the original story, several members of the Straw Hat Pirates were Devil Fruit users, but Nami had never expressed such a desire.
