Warlock Ch 337. Escape The Fate
Damian let out a slow exhale.
"There's nothing I can do now." His voice was calm, but the reality pressed against him like an iron chain. "I knew this would happen sooner or later."
He leaned back into his chair, running a hand through his hair.
"But it's okay." He forced a grin, one that didn't quite reach his eyes. "At least they don't see me as a criminal anymore. That's a good thing, right?"
A hollow laugh escaped him.
Because deep down, he knew.
He knew that things were still teetering on the edge. That no matter how much he had clawed his way out of his past, no matter how much he had fought to escape Kaelan's fate— He could still end up exactly the same. But he wouldn't let that happen.
Not this time.
This time, he would clear his own name. He would decide his own fate. He would avenge everything that had been stolen from him.
