Chapter 67 - CHAPTER 66: Dungeon

The Tower of Babel, a huge white building, was built beneath the dungeon's entrance to prevent the monsters inside from escaping.

This way, whenever an adventurer wants to enter the dungeon, he must go through the tower.

With the Tower of Babel located in the center, Orario is divided into eight sections with the tower as the center.

So, no matter which street you take, you will eventually reach the Tower of Babel, and just below the tower is the first floor of the dungeon.

Yuri suppressed his excitement as he looked at the imposing white tower in front of him.

He had already received the 'fana' and registered as an adventurer; now it was time for him to finally see what the dungeon was like.

Additionally, killing monsters would make him stronger, while items dropped by them would help him pay off his debt.

Yuri easily blended into the crowd of adventurers who were entering the dungeon. He had already purchased a map of the upper floors.

From the first to the fourth floor, the walls are light blue, and the monsters that appear are Goblins or Kobolds. There is also a wide hallway on the 1st floor known as Beginning Road.

Novice level 1 adventurers with I to H status in their basic skills typically spend time on these floors.

Yuri walked through the halls while looking at everything around him.

"If my memory serves me correctly, the monsters that appear on the first four floors are Goblins and Kobolds, right?"

As he walked, cracks suddenly appeared on the walls around him.

Yuri watched with interest as a small dog-headed monster emerged from the crack.

This is how the dungeon generates monsters.

The terrain of each floor will change from time to time; in addition, the dungeon is automatically repaired. If there is a damaged structure, it will take a while to be restored to its original state.

Monsters can be spawned from literally anywhere within the dungeon.

Furthermore, the types of monsters spawned on each floor are also fixed. But sometimes, some monsters can rise from lower floors. Generally, however, the monsters that appear on each floor are fixed, and situations like this rarely occur.

Yuri calmly analyzed the monster in front of him.

The Kobold let out a growl and ran towards Yuri.

Yuri noticed that it was quite fast—of course, not at his level.

An ordinary level 1 adventurer would probably have a tough battle defeating this monster.

"Hmm... I think this is a good opportunity for me to test this..."

Yuri easily grabbed the Kobold's neck and pinned it to the wall.

The Kobold scratched his arm, opening wounds, but his regeneration immediately kicked in, instantly healing his injuries.

He pointed his index finger at the Kobold's forehead as his nail became sharp.

Yuri stuck his finger into the Kobold's forehead and inserted a small amount of his blood into the monster.

"Let's see what happens now..."

"GAHH!! GRAAA!!!" The Kobold began to writhe in agony as its body deformed, becoming increasingly grotesque.

"Did I add too much blood...? Or was he too weak to bear it?" Yuri wondered as, in the blink of an eye, he drew his sword and decapitated the Kobold.

"I see... So he still became an Oni, but his body couldn't support my cells..." Yuri analyzed while looking at the Kobold turning into ashes. He could feel a brief connection with the monster.

"I should try with some stronger monsters later..."

Now there was only a small stone at the place where the Kobold died.

"This must be the magic stone, but it looks a little bigger than it shows in that guide…" Yuri took the blue-purple crystal and looked at it carefully.

The magic stone is the core that exists in the body of all monsters. It is said that the reason why these monsters can move and have life is entirely because of the magic stone in their bodies.

Magic stones are used for various things in Orario, for example, street lamps.

Various other items used in people's daily lives are also made using magic stones.

For example, an ignition device that has the same function as a gas stove, a freezer that can store food like a refrigerator, etc. They are all products made using magic stones. Therefore, magic stones are considered very valuable resources. Orario exports these kinds of magic stone products to other countries, which also allows the guild that manages Orario to make huge profits. Therefore, adventurers can take the magic stones obtained in the dungeon to the guild to exchange them for money.

The guild will decide the purchase price based on the size of the magic stone.

This is why Yuri can't pay Mia Grande with gold bars.

After a few seconds of analyzing the stone, Yuri realized that although there was magical energy inside the stone, he could in no way manipulate or absorb it.

"Ahh~ Time to work. In the future, the number of members in the Hestia family will increase; it wouldn't be bad to have more money to help the newcomers."

At the moment, it is only Yuri and Hestia that make up the Hestia family. But in the future, he intends to rescue a certain fox from the Ishtar family, as well as convince Ryuu to join his family.

Preferably, he also wants a certain Pallum who works hard to get out of the Soma family.

As we all know, buying a house is expensive, so he would have to work hard to support his family.

Yuri felt more motivated as he thought about this. He stretched slightly and bent down while taking a deep breath.

"Let's go all out, Thunder Breath – Blazing Lightning!"

With a buzz of lightning, Yuri disappeared from his position, killing all the monsters in his path, without forgetting to collect their magic stones.

The dungeon is an orderly labyrinthine structure made up of different floors, each having its own peculiarities. Instead of focusing on looking for the stairs to the floor below, Yuri focused solely on looking for any unfortunate monsters that appeared in his field of vision. This would also be a great opportunity for Yuri to continue his swordsmanship training.

About two hours passed, and Yuri finally found the stairs to the second floor.

He slowly entered the second floor and did the same thing he did on the first floor.

He used his breathing techniques and strength to kill all the monsters he encountered along the way.

After that, he arrived at the third floor, fourth floor, fifth floor...

It only took him six hours in the dungeon to reach the tenth floor.
