When Marshadow was about to escape, Evan's Psychic powers sensed the little Pokémon.

Noticing its panicked mood, Evan smiled faintly and quickly said, "Marshadow, hello. I was introduced to you by Gallade. Come out—I've found you."

Hearing this, Marshadow felt torn and betrayed. At the same time, it was furious with Gallade. I considered you a friend, and you betrayed me?

Gallade and Gardevoir were stunned by Evan's statement. Marshadow is here? They soon sensed the Pokémon's angry emotions. Being highly sensitive to feelings was their special ability, after all—they could easily perceive the emotions of Pokémon and humans alike.

"Gardevoir~~~" Gardevoir called out towards the presence it sensed.

Marshadow, hesitating for a moment, frowned. After carefully considering, it decided to trust Gallade and Gardevoir. After all, this human had found it but hadn't done anything threatening yet.

A black shadow appeared on the ground not far from Evan. Marshadow cautiously emerged, exposing only its head. "Mar!" it exclaimed, looking directly at Gallade and Gardevoir. It stayed wary of Evan and his Dragonite, knowing how strong they were. What if they attacked?

Evan calmly said, "You don't need to be so cautious. Come on, let's eat something together."

Smelling a pleasant aroma in the air, Marshadow hesitated but finally stepped out fully. It remained tense, ready to flee at a moment's notice. Evan placed a bowl of food and a top-quality Ghost-type energy cube before it, which he had prepared before.

Marshadow took a few steps back, glancing at the food and then at Evan. "Marsh?" it murmured. Is this for me?

Marshadow sniffed the food, and its mouth watered unconsciously. It couldn't resist any longer and glanced at Evan, who nodded encouragingly.

"That's right, it's all for you," Evan said warmly. "Eat. I have no ill intentions. Gallade just wanted to visit an old friend, so you don't have to be wary of me."

Hearing this, Marshadow relaxed. "Marsh~!" it sighed in relief. Evan's explanation reassured it—Gallade hadn't betrayed their friendship, and this human didn't mean any harm.

Finally at ease, Marshadow grabbed the food, eyed the spoon curiously, and used it to take a bite. Its eyes widened instantly. The flavor was incredible! Without hesitation, it began devouring the meal, thoroughly enjoying every bite.

This is amazing! It thought, This human's food is unlike anything I've ever tasted! Memories of trying other Trainers' food paled in comparison to this. Evan is a good person. This food is beyond delicious.

After finishing the meal quickly, its attention shifted to the box of energy cubes. "Marsh?" it murmured curiously, poking at the neatly arranged cubes. Sniffing them, it caught a whiff of something exciting. Without delay, it tipped the entire box into its mouth.

The energy cubes were not only delicious but also made Marshadow feel stronger. It could sense the positive effects immediately, and it devoured them without hesitation. Once finished, it turned to Evan, its cautious demeanor completely gone.

"Mar?" it asked hopefully, its expression clearly saying, Do you have more?

Evan chuckled and shook his head. "I only brought a few boxes with me. If you want more, I'll bring some next time, okay?"

Marshadow nodded enthusiastically, clearly looking forward to more. It had never been this excited about food before. This human really is special.

Evan, with his persuasive charm, continued to coax Marshadow. Sure enough, no Pokémon could resist the allure of his top-tier energy cubes.

Marshadow, however, looked visibly disappointed after hearing Evan's earlier words. Didn't you bring more? it seemed to think, crestfallen.

Not wanting to leave the Pokémon feeling let down, Evan retrieved a few more boxes of energy cubes and handed them over. "Don't eat too much at once," he advised. "Save some and eat them slowly."

Marshadow, understanding how precious these cubes were, graciously received them into its shadow with a polite nod. Just as it finished, Gallade spoke up.

"Marshadow," Gallade began, "why don't you come with us? My Trainer is amazing at making these. If you stay with us, you could eat like this every day."

Hearing this, Marshadow's gaze shot to Evan. "Marsh?" it asked curiously, clearly intrigued by the idea of a long-term "meal ticket." The thought of consistent delicious meals piqued its interest. It glanced around, considering the pleasant atmosphere of its home but tempted by the offer.

Evan noticed its hesitation and smiled reassuringly. "Take your time to think about it. We're not leaving until tomorrow. Stay with us tonight and decide then," he said warmly.

Marshadow nodded, looking thoughtful. After a moment, it glanced at its shadow and then at Evan before letting out a cheerful, "Marsh~!" With that, it dove into the ground, disappearing swiftly.

Evan blinked in confusion. "Uh… what's Marshadow doing now? Is it asking me to wait?"

Gardevoir stepped forward to offer an explanation. "Perhaps it went back to its home—a nest or something. I've heard its home might be underground, maybe even in some ruins. It's possible it went to retrieve something."

The suggestion caught Evan's attention. His expression brightened as curiosity took over. "Ruins, huh?" he mused. "Interesting… I wonder what kind of place it is. Could it be an ancient tomb? That would be incredible to explore."

With that thought lingering, Evan decided to wait patiently. The idea of uncovering an ancient tomb filled him with intrigue and excitement. What secrets could such a place hold?
