In the City of Mirage, at the odeum, Claudius sat upon his throne, his hands resting on the armrests, his back leaned lazily against the headrest. With one leg draped over the other like the king he was and still is, he looked down upon the figures kneeling before him.
Skeletal giants now restored with flesh and bone, cursed to rise again.
Among them, a massive vulture, one of Moros' own, bowed low, its forehead pressed to the cold floor.
"My dear uncle," Claudius began, voice laced with cold amusement, "tell me… why follow the rules of some rotten vulture, when you could serve a handsome and valiant hawk?" His words dripped with mockery.
The man he spoke to, is none other than the family head of Everhelm House. His family had been among those responsible for the death of Hermielle, the late queen of Dusthaven, the beloved wife of the 'One Good King', and mother to the current king, Eros La Velle.
