"Leave," he repeated himself, and kept his eyes on Angel.
Gutted, but also relieved she wasn't in the hot seat anymore, Chloe turned around, and walked to the door.
The moment she stepped out, she was grabbed by her arm.
"What is—" her voice was muffled, as she tried to scream.
The door closed, but not before Angel sensed what was going on.
"What are you doing to her?" She asked Ares.
"Great act. You seem really concerned," he replied without skipping a beat.
"Why shouldn't I be concerned? She's human."
"Yet you called her a bitch, and Ivar also claimed she's the reason you fell unconscious," he said with sarcastic undertones to his words.
"And let me guess, you believe the woman you're sleeping with over me?" She asked, trying not to sound as hurt as she felt.
"Why would that be a surprise? There's only one proven liar." He shrugged.
