Chapter 355 - C243

Magical creatures need to settle down and undergo genetic experimentation, so for now, let's place them in the underground hive.

They possess unique abilities, but the stronger ones are even more dangerous than thunderbirds and fire dragons.

After reading the magic book, he can begin to organize everything.

Sooner or later, his collection of books will surpass that of Kamar-Taj.

After Kain returned, he checked his haul again.

He had gathered a wealth of magical materials and enchanted desserts—enough to ensure he wouldn't fear shortages in other worlds going forward.

Though he hadn't finished reading the magic book, the most valuable gain this time was undoubtedly his discoveries in black magic and occultism.

Kain's magical power was already formidable, but in terms of magical knowledge, he had previously lagged behind Dumbledore.

After all, nearly a century of accumulated knowledge and experience couldn't be matched by Kain simply skimming a few books.

However, Kain had fully digested and absorbed everything he'd collected from the magic books and notes, and his magical level now stood at that of a Legendary wizard.

"Mopsos's research on occultism leans more toward astrology and divination, but another wizard, Carl Cass, focuses on the fundamental nature of the universe.

With his methods, one can observe nature in a far more subtle and profound way."

After organizing all the books and issuing a few commands to his subordinates, Kain began studying how Legendary wizards in the Harry Potter world understood magic.

He was especially intrigued by Carl Cass's research into the naturalistic aspects of occultism.

Following Cass's notes, Kain quickly sketched out an observation magic circle, channeling magic power as he worked.

A wand would've made the process faster, but Kain's wand was now just a metal rod—its Mind Stone missing.

Still, with his mastery of magic, he could manage without it, though it wasn't exactly "mage-like."

Magic surged out as Kain took control, and a complex, intricate magic circle slowly formed on the ground.

It contained ninety-nine runes, each nested within another, and it consumed many magical materials.

After half an hour, with every rune linked and activated, the observation magic circle was finally complete.

Carl Cass's design amplified a wizard's perception, allowing them to observe the universe more clearly.

Once it was ready, Kain stepped into the circle.

In an instant, clarity flooded his senses—as though his soul had left his body and soared above the Earth.

He observed the planet and the cosmos from a strange, elevated perspective.

Magic circles scattered across the Earth aligned and converged on three central cores.

Kain immediately recognized them: Kamar-Taj's defenses against the incursion of the Dark Dimension and Dormammu.

Beyond that, Kain saw the true essence of nature—not just general magical energy, but distinct elemental forms.

What he perceived most vividly were thunder and fire: a mixed force of light and heat.

This was also closely related to Kain himself.

He carried the genes of both a phoenix and a fire dragon, making him naturally drawn to fire.

The stronger the flame, the more benefit it brought him.

As for thunder—when Kain sensed these two natural forces that resonated so deeply with him, he felt as if his soul had returned home.

In that moment, his consciousness floated outside his body, watching as he unconsciously began absorbing natural energy.

"No… everything else can be ruled out except electricity and fire."

The instant this thought passed through Kain's mind, his body instinctively changed the way it absorbed energy.

Even the energies within him—chakra, magic, natural energy—began transforming, purifying into just two elements: electricity and fire.

But then, something went wrong.

The survey magic circle became destabilized due to the intense energy flow and abruptly lost function, snapping his consciousness back into his body.

When he opened his eyes, Kain found himself sitting within the now-defunct magic circle.

Still, the experience had been real—and he could still feel the comfort and clarity within his body.

"Nature becomes godhood… The rules of the Marvel universe are fascinating.

The path to godhood is actually this simple? No, wait… most people don't have phoenix or fire dragon genes—or a Thunder Fruit."

Kain's mood lifted instantly.

For a brief moment, it felt like he had grasped the underlying rules of divine ascension in this universe.

And it wasn't the same as the godhood of Thor—it was more akin to rule-based divinity, like Sithorn or the Vishanti.

The God of Thunder, Kain.

Or maybe… the God of Fire.

With such godhood, Kain could even develop new magic focused on thunder and flame—perhaps even author The Book of Thunder.

The more people who studied and practiced his magic, the stronger the conceptual power of the rules he wielded.

It was similar to the concept of faith-based power—but in the Marvel universe, it worked in its own unique way.

Elsewhere, he could still take time to explore other methods.

But one thing was clear: the Thunder Fruit had changed him.

Kain was now the human closest to thunder and flame.

"Could absorbing flame energy also be transformed into a kind of superhuman bio-field?"

Kain suddenly considered the idea, though it remained just a theory.

To achieve that, he would need to dynamically adjust the electromagnetic field within his body—no small task.

Still, his gains from this encounter were immense.

He had modified how he absorbed natural energy, restructured the energy system within his body, and glimpsed the path to godhood in the Marvel Universe.

Now, hundreds of magical texts remained for him to read and master, alongside the biology-based magic in his possession.

"…Almost forgot. Come out, Isaac."

Kain released Vice Admiral Isaac from the dragon pouch.

The house-elf looked visibly shaken—he'd been sharing that space with a massive dragon, even if the beast meant no harm.

Isaac trembled. "M-Master…"

"Isaac, you'll be responsible for maintaining this manor from now on. Don't let outsiders see you.

There's also a talking green snake and a basilisk in the sea—try not to leave the range of the protective enchantment."

Kain gave his orders.

The manor needed tending, but with the presence of magical beasts like the basilisk and the green snake, no ordinary person could be allowed near.

Bringing the house-elf was a necessity.

"There's also a mistress here—you'll meet her soon."

Once Isaac had composed himself, he bowed respectfully. "Understood, Master."

Then he vanished, reappearing moments later with a steaming cup of black tea.

Even though this was another world, Isaac came from a time close to the 21st century.

Thanks to Kain and Hermione's influence, he was no stranger to modern devices.

He'd even learned to cook and often visited the Muggle world.

The Ancient One suddenly looked up at the sky, a flicker of curiosity flashing across her face. Then she murmured,

"Unfamiliar magic... Is it the same lineage as Agamotto?"

She had taken notice of this strange presence before. At first, she believed Kain pent was merely using dream-walking techniques to perceive other universes—rare, but not unheard of.

However, when she observed him through the Eye of Agamotto, she realized it was something entirely different.

Normally, the Ancient One didn't concern herself with those who posed no threat to Earth—regardless of whether they were good or evil.

Even if a terrorist who had slaughtered a thousand people stood beside her, she would not act, so long as they posed no threat to the greater balance.

But Kain was different.

Her curiosity wasn't about the man himself, but about the magic he used.

It was entirely self-derived—completely detached from established laws of magic. In all her years, the Ancient One had never seen anything like it.

Turning to her student, she said,

"Modu, there's a peculiar Mage in New York. Please deliver an invitation to him. I'd like to invite him to Kamar-Taj, should he ever wish to exchange knowledge."

Long ago, the Ancient One herself had once craved the pursuit of magical understanding. But now, with her life nearing its end, her focus had shifted to guarding against the Dark Dimension—and finding her successor as the next Sorcerer Supreme.

"I understand, Master," Modu replied.

Though he was slightly confused by the request, he didn't question it. With the Ancient One's invitation in hand, Modu immediately set off.

Reaching New York was a simple matter—just a quick transfer through one of the Sanctum's portals.

Meanwhile, after organizing his growing collection of magical books, Kain descended into the underground hive.

The containment area for magical beasts had already been constructed.

The space was divided into various sections—large enough to comfortably house even a fire dragon.

The underground hive was nearly complete, and the engineering robots had been upgraded into new-energy mechanical guards, armed with modernized weapons.

This force, hidden within the Pent Group, was Kain's private army.

Over 200 mechanical guards had been created so far, each equipped with 18 different types of weapons.

Together, they would become the most terrifying tools of war on any battlefield.

Once Stark Industries was fully acquired, the Red Queen would take control of its weapons division and use its manufacturing infrastructure to create even more powerful weapons and armor.

At this rate, the age of Gundams might just begin—with the Pent Group at the forefront.

After coordinating with his biotech researchers to safely calm and categorize the magical creatures—ensuring the blood-extraction experiments could proceed without harm—Kain returned to his manor.

He was just about to dive back into his magical studies when Isaac suddenly appeared.

"Master," the house-elf reported, "there's someone at the gate requesting to see you. He was able to detect both the protective spell and the Muggle-repelling enchantments."

Kain raised an eyebrow. "A superhuman?"

Curious, he Apparated to the manor's entrance.

There stood a man—dark-skinned, dressed in unusual robes.

Kain's sudden appearance startled Modu.

He immediately noticed that Kain's space magic was completely unlike the techniques taught at Kamar-Taj.

"Greetings, Mage," Modu said politely. "The Ancient One of Kamar-Taj requests your presence. This is her personal invitation."

Upon hearing "Kamar-Taj" and "Ancient One," Kain silently pondered, but accepted the envelope from Modu.

"I understand. I'm a bit busy at the moment, but I'll visit when I get the chance."

"177A Bleecker Street, Manhattan. Kamar-Taj awaits your arrival," Modu said respectfully, then turned and left.

As Modu disappeared, Kain shook his head slightly.

"We'll see about that… later," he muttered.

He had already made other plans—he was about to journey into the world of Pirates.
