Xia Wenyan was utterly bewildered by Pei Huai's tea-time chatter, even unconsciously embracing him and patting his back. "That won't happen, with me here, how could such a thing occur?"
"Yep! I know Yanyan cares about me." Pei Huai's lips curved gently, and had it not been for the pallor of his lips still being severe, Xia Wenyan would have thought he was feigning his illness.
He sighed helplessly, "Alright, lie down and rest well. I'm going to call your men right now and have them arrange for a hospital room for you; the emergency ward is not safe."
Pei Huai keenly sensed the worry at the bottom of Xia Wenyan's heart.
His eyes narrowed slightly, and he asked as if offhandedly, "What happened just now in the emergency ward?"
Xia Wenyan shook his head, ready to deny it, but after some thought, he decided it was better to tell Pei Huai.
He always felt that what just happened was not his imagination.
