Hearing this, Fang Pingying felt a warm glow inside and gave him a sweet smile.

Then she added, "We've bought almost everything we need, let's go back. They must be waiting for these groceries at home to cook."

Luo Zhiyong nodded but then had a second thought that something didn't add up. Since Fang Pingying didn't mention it was money for groceries, wasn't Zhou Yunmei supposed to be in charge of household meals?

He then asked Fang Pingying, "Didn't you tell Mom to buy the groceries?"

Fang Pingying gave a faint smile and spoke the truth, "I did tell her, but she might not buy anything. After all, we asked Uncle Luo for help; it's more proper for us to pay and take care of it ourselves."

Luo Zhiyong nodded, having a rough sense of what the situation was like.

When they arrived home, as expected, Zhou Yunmei and the others hadn't bought anything; they likely just took the money from the post office and came back.
