With summer vacation finally here, the weather had grown hotter, and the air conditioning at home was running constantly.
However, unlike students from other departments who were free to relax and travel, Kaminari had a far more structured break. Not only were U.A. students required to avoid long trips during summer vacation, but he also had his own packed schedule to follow.
Here was his daily routine before heading to the training camp in the forest:
At 6:00 AM, he woke up, freshened up quickly, and took the subway to Omiya Park for a morning run. Occasionally, he ran into Midnight or Tetsutetsu, but his running sessions were now an hour longer than before.
At 8:00 AM, he returned home, showered, had breakfast, and started studying advanced physics and electromagnetism using the books he borrowed from Momo.
Whenever he encountered a concept he couldn't grasp, he made a note of it to ask Momo for help later.
From 10:00 to 11:00 AM, he reviewed textbooks related to professional heroes, including Modern Hero History taught by Cementoss, History of Modern Hero Art taught by Midnight, and Hero Basic Studies taught by Aizawa.
Though it seemed like a lot, these subjects were covered in class, and the content wasn't overly complex—it was just a matter of keeping the knowledge fresh.
At 11:00 AM, he washed his face to wake himself up after a morning of studying, then had lunch.
From 12:00 to 1:00 PM, he had free time to nap or chat on the phone with Kyoka.
At 1:00 PM, he went to the newly built Quirk training hall in his apartment complex to work out and train.
Thanks to his father's thriving business, their financial situation had improved significantly, allowing him to realize a long-held idea, he purchased all the top-floor apartments, hired professionals to merge and renovate them, and turned the space into a professional Quirk training facility spanning over 300 square meters.
The floors and walls were designed to withstand electricity, high temperatures, and impacts, perfectly suited to Kaminari's Quirk. The facility also included equipment for testing attack power and standard workout machines.
Now, all he had to do was step out of his apartment, take the elevator to the top floor, and start training. It was incredibly convenient!
His afternoon training schedule was divided into two parts:
The first two hours focused on his second Quirk, Electricity Absorbing Physique.
This meant absorbing electricity, expelling it all at once, then drawing in ambient electric charge again, repeating the process over and over.
Kaminari was still unsure about his new Quirk. Did he now have two Quirks, or had his original Quirk evolved into something new?
If it was the latter, should he rename his Quirk?
Originally, his Quirk was called Electrification, which allowed him to store electricity by making contact with a power source and then release it through his body.
But now, he had gained an ability to absorb electric charge directly from the air around his skin—essentially "inhaling" electricity.
So, what did "charged" plus "charged" equal?
"Electric Control"?
That didn't seem right. True electricity control should allow him to direct and shape currents at will.
He was still limited to discharging electricity rather than manipulating it freely.
Despite his years of training, he was far from reaching the level of Enel from One Piece, Laxus from Fairy Tail, or Sasuke Uchiha from Naruto.
His current Quirk alone wasn't enough to achieve that kind of mastery, it was a hardware limitation, not just a matter of effort.
Which meant… he needed a Quirk specialized in controlling electricity itself.
This made him seriously consider reaching out to Kurogiri again, even though he knew the risk was enormous.
The next part of his training consisted of two hours of muscle conditioning.
In the past, he had been somewhat lax in this area.
After all, his God-Speed and High-Voltage Mode techniques temporarily enhanced his physical abilities through electric stimulation, putting him on par with those who trained year-round.
But he still dedicated two full hours to strength training, equal to his Quirk training because he wanted to become truly strong.
Both God-Speed and High-Voltage Mode scaled off his physical base stats.
For example, if his base strength was 10, God-Speed doubled it to 20, while High-Voltage Mode tripled it to 30.
But that was his limit.
If he wanted to go beyond, he had to start by increasing his base stats—turning that 10 into 20 or even 30 through intense muscle training.
Of course, that was easier said than done.
After just four days, his body felt like it was falling apart, aching all over.
From 4:00 to 6:00 PM, he rested to allow his body to recover. He also took another shower to wash off the sweat.
At 6:00 PM, it was dinnertime. Seeing how hard he had been training, his mother made chicken soup to help with his recovery.
After dinner, he took Pikachu for a walk in Omiya Park, sometimes snapping selfies for Twitter or his fan page, and occasionally stopping for photos with fans.
From 7:00 to 10:00 PM, he had time to relax. If he wasn't playing the piano or singing, he was drawing manga or doing something creative.
Finally, at 10:00 PM, he went to bed, repeating the cycle the next morning at 6:00 AM.
His life had become incredibly structured over the past few days.
And he had also decided to schedule a day with Kyoka every five or six days, maybe a trip to the beach or something.
Summer at the beach was always a great idea.
That reminded him—Tetsutetsu kept showing up at his door whenever he had free time, asking for sparring matches.
In the end, Kaminari agreed to fight him at 1:00 PM on training days. Although it interrupted his Quirk training, it was still useful for gaining battle experience.
Besides, it was a chance to test Electricity Absorbing Physique in real combat, using it to replenish his energy mid-fight.
But on the morning of the fifth day, his carefully planned schedule was unexpectedly disrupted by the sound of the doorbell.
"Minoru Mineta? Midoriya Izuku?"
Seeing the two standing outside, Kaminari raised an eyebrow in surprise.
"Why are you guys at my house?"
"Ugh…" Mineta groaned, looking frustrated. "Why is security here so strict? We even had to call the school to verify our identities!"
Midoriya quickly reassured him. "Well, we forgot our student IDs… If we had them, it wouldn't have been such a hassle."
"Who brings their student ID to visit a friend during summer break?" Mineta muttered.
"True… Kaminari's place is guarded by police and patrolled by pro heroes. It's kinda intimidating," Midoriya admitted, scratching his head.
Kaminari's expression darkened. Were they really standing at his doorstep complaining about his home security?
"So… what do you guys want?"
"Ah, right!"
Mineta suddenly perked up, raising his hands excitedly.
"Let's go to the pool!"
"The pool?" Kaminari repeated, confused.
"Yeah! Mineta-san wants to organize physical training at the U.A. swimming pool before the forest camp. I think it's a great idea, so…" Midoriya explained sheepishly.
"Physical training? I can do that at home." Kaminari wasn't interested. Why take the train for an hour when he had his own facility?
"But you can use Quirks freely at U.A.!" Mineta argued.
Kaminari explained the high-tech Quirk training gym in his building, waiting to see how they'd respond.
"This… If that's the case, Kaminari-san really doesn't need to come," Midoriya admitted, looking envious.
"But… but…!" Mineta looked desperate. If fewer guys went, the girls wouldn't come either!
Then, an idea struck him. His eyes gleamed mischievously.
"Don't you want to see Kyoka in a swimsuit?"
Kaminari blinked—then paused.
…That was an excellent point.
