"Sister?!" Charlotte looked at Grace in surprise, completely unprepared for her sister to greet her in person.

Grace nodded slightly to her sister before making a gesture of invitation to Chris.

Chris stepped forward calmly. Seeing Grace's formal demeanor, he realized his plan to make a name for himself among the other disciples of Star Moon Gym was likely to fail.

With Grace leading the way, Chris entered the Star Moon Gym.

Even inside, the gym was covered with lush green grass and trees. Many Trainers were either training or resting with their Grass-type Pokémon.

As Grace passed by with Chris, the disciples cast curious glances in their direction.

In the past, only three kinds of people visited Star Moon Gym: challengers, visitors, and apprentices.

Challengers were typically Trainers in their thirties or forties. Visitors were those who had a personal connection with the Gym Leader, and they were usually at least forty years old. Only apprentices tended to be around Chris's age.

However, some of the disciples had already heard that Grace, the Gym Leader's daughter, was welcoming someone who intended to take away the treasures of their gym.

Many began to dislike Chris without even knowing what the so-called treasure was.

Chris couldn't sense the emotions of the disciples, but thanks to the Soothe Bell, he clearly felt the Pokémon's emotions.

Their hostility toward him was pure—because their Trainers viewed Chris as an enemy, the Pokémon did too.

"Jayden is really popular at Star Moon Gym, huh?" Chris muttered.

Amidst the hostility, he walked forward calmly.

This group wouldn't even add up to a match for Gyarados and Greninja—just remember Surf, and there's nothing to fear.

Upon entering the gym's main hall, Robert was in the middle of coaching a disciple.

"The core of Razor Leaf is speed.

The key to using Grass-type energy is to infuse the leaves, but not too much, or it will reduce their speed.

Once that's done, sharpen the blade of the flying leaves with Grass-type energy to make them even sharper and more resilient..."

As Robert explained, he caught sight of Chris out of the corner of his eye and paused.

"Alright, practice hard on your own!" he instructed his disciple before walking toward Chris.

"You got here pretty fast. I thought you'd arrive after the Lantern Festival," Robert said.

"Trevor wanted to come earlier, so I followed along," Chris replied, neither humble nor arrogant. "Also, my teacher asked me to say hello to you."

"Master Vladimir?" Robert asked tentatively.

"Yes," Chris nodded.

"Oh no, no, no, I wouldn't dare accept that—I should be the one paying respects to Master Vladimir!" Robert quickly waved his hands, looking flattered.

In terms of status and seniority, it was indeed his place to show respect to Vladimir.

Robert's exaggerated reaction made the surrounding disciples lift their heads in surprise.

"Come on, follow me to the backyard. I've prepared something for you," Grace said, leading the way.

The group entered the backyard.

It was a vast garden, where Bellossom and Vileplume acted as caretakers, while Vivillon and Butterfree assisted in pollination.

Several disciples were tending to the flowers and plants, carefully maintaining the garden's beauty.

As soon as Chris entered the garden, he was greeted by the rich fragrance of flowers. However, almost immediately, a strange scent became even more intense.

It was the same peculiar fragrance he had noticed when he first entered the forest. Over the course of his journey, his nose had gradually adapted to it.

But now, the scent was amplified, making it particularly noticeable.

It was a bit overwhelming.

Yet, it also meant that the source of the fragrance was nearby.

Not far ahead, Chris spotted a hill—or rather, what looked like one. In reality, it was a Venusaur. A massive Venusaur.

Its size was even larger than his own Totem Venusaur!

However, it wasn't in its Gigantamax form—no one would keep a Pokémon in that state permanently.

The Venusaur was resting peacefully on the ground.

Near Venusaur, Chris saw the source of the strange fragrance—a red flower. It wasn't overly showy, its brightness softened by a natural elegance. A faint mist surrounded it, forming visible spirals in the air.

"Venusaur!" Robert greeted.

Venusaur stirred from its slumber, opening its eyes to see its Trainer and Chris. Stretching out two vines from its back, it carefully picked up the red flower along with the soil beneath it and passed them to Chris.

"This is the reward I promised you last time!" Robert said.

Chris could tell this flower was something extraordinary, but he couldn't immediately recognize what it was or what made it so special.

"What is this?" he asked.

"I named it the Legendary Flower," Robert explained. "By pure chance, I found it in a dangerous area and was only able to bring it back with the help of Master Vladimir."

"Its effects are quite remarkable—it can purify all negative status conditions of Pokémon in its vicinity. So far, I haven't found any status condition it can't remove, even if it originates from a Legendary Pokémon."

Chris's eyes widened.

"If a Pokémon carries it, every one of its moves will have a powerful Purify effect. Against Poison- and Ghost-type Pokémon, this purification ability deals double damage."

"Then this must be a legendary item..." Chris murmured, deep in thought.

"That's right," Robert confirmed. "This is a true Legendary Pokémon item. Its power far surpasses that of a treasure-tier Pokémon item—it is undeniably a legendary artifact!"

Chris glanced at Robert, puzzled, but chose to ask directly.

"If it's a legendary item… why are you giving it to me?"

Before arriving here, Chris had only expected Robert to give him a secret treasure-tier item at most.

Even those were rare for a Gym Trainer.

After all, when Chris had purchased a Enigma Tree, he had to trade a treasure-tier Metal Coat in exchange before traveling to the East China Sea Dragon Nest to capture a Dragon-type Pokémon. Compared to treasure-tier Pokémon items, this gift was on an entirely different level.

And he and Robert weren't particularly close.

He had simply defeated one of Robert's non-main Pokémon in battle. At best, he was just a Trainer Robert admired.

Admiring a Trainer was one thing.

But giving them a legendary item?

Even if Robert were a Champion, as the head of Pokémon training, he wouldn't be this generous… would he?
