"No, I met Shiny Fraxure in the Dragon's Nest in the East China Sea, and I caught other Shiny Pokémon in the wild by accident," Chris replied.

The ones I encountered in the game can be considered wild encounters—we're not lying.

Vladimir and Roy, the teacher and student, exchanged glances, fell silent, and finally sighed.

He has the talent of Aura, captured seven Shiny Pokémon, and out of his 17 Pokémon, four possess the Aura ability.

Any one alone is enough to make anyone jealous, but for all of it to be concentrated on one person… It's hard not to wonder if Chris is the god of luck!

Or perhaps, Chris is Lady Luck's chosen one?

"I think the best decision I've ever made might be accepting you as my student," Vladimir mused.

"Junior Brother Chris, don't forget us when you're rich and famous!" Roy said seriously.

Chris scratched his head in embarrassment. He wasn't as lucky as they thought—it was entirely thanks to the handheld device he brought during time travel. A large part of his success with Shiny Pokémon was also due to Togepi's influence.

"Alright, let's focus on Aura training," Vladimir coughed twice, bringing the discussion back on track. He reached into Gengar's stomach and pulled out several crystal balls, handing them to Chris.

"Each Pokémon with Aura will receive one, and then we'll begin their training!"

Chris recalled his other Pokémon and handed the crystal balls to three of them. He also returned Slakoth to its Poké Ball—this one should wait until it evolves into Vigoroth before starting Aura training.

"Hold the crystal ball in your hands, concentrate on the light blue energy inside, and try to guide it with your thoughts," Vladimir instructed.

"In the beginning, this will be difficult. But once you break through and get the Aura flowing, the training will progress naturally and become easier over time."

Chris and the four Pokémon held their crystal balls, fixing their eyes on the light blue energy inside, willing it to change according to their desires.

Among the four Pokémon, only Slakoth accomplished this with ease.

The energy in its crystal ball mirrored that of Vladimir's. Under its control, the dark blue energy transformed into steamed buns, noodles, dumplings, and pancakes.

Slakoth was thoroughly enjoying itself.

Meanwhile, the energy in Chris, Blaziken, Hariyama, and Greninja's crystal balls remained completely still, like stagnant water.

It was clear this would be a long-term training process.

"If you can learn Calm Mind, it will be easier to practice Aura control. You'll get twice the results with half the effort. This applies not just to Pokémon, but also to you, Chris!"

"Many moves aren't exclusive to Pokémon—humans can master them as well," Vladimir added.

"Understood, Teacher," Chris nodded.

"Once the crystal ball in your hand is fully infused with light blue energy, you can start Vacuum Wave training.

After mastering Vacuum Wave, and when you can unleash it instantly without charging, you can move on to Aura Sphere training."

As he explained, Vladimir extended his hand, summoning a fist-sized Aura Sphere in his palm.

It was clear he expected Chris to train in both Vacuum Wave and Aura Sphere as a trainer.

Chris was stunned. In the future, would battles no longer require Pokémon? Could he just fight opponents himself?

Roy noticed Chris's expression and, as someone who had been through this before, offered a reminder.

"Many countries around the world encourage wild combat training."

"In some battles, defeating the Trainer themselves is the victory condition.

If you master Aura, you'll gain an advantage in wild combat."

"Furthermore, once you leave the safety of the academy, you'll realize the world isn't as secure as you imagined. Having the ability to protect yourself is absolutely necessary."

Chris nodded in agreement.

If you encounter a battle in the wild where the opponent's goal is to kill, then there are no rules—every fight is a struggle for survival!

He looked down at the crystal ball in his hands.

Mastering Aura was indeed a necessity.

"Don't worry about wasting time training Pokémon.

After the new year, I'll help you find some Aura crystals to speed up your Aura development," Roy said thoughtfully.

Seeing Chris's potential and extraordinary luck, he had fully embraced his role as a senior and was wholeheartedly planning for Chris's future.

Vladimir took out a jade pendant and handed it to Roy. "Go to Landen—he still owes me a favor. The next time the Bird Secret Realm opens, secure Chris a spot."

"Understood, Teacher!" Roy accepted the jade pendant.

Chris observed the exchange, not fully grasping the details, but he could tell that whatever they were discussing would benefit him.

"Thank you, Teacher! Thank you, Senior!" Chris said gratefully.

Vladimir and Roy nodded, accepting his thanks. They had initially been concerned about Chris's character, but those doubts vanished the moment they saw his Gardevoir undergo Mega Evolution.

Gardevoir is a unique Pokémon—one that can sense the emotions of others. Trainers who raise them often have kind and pure hearts.

If a Gardevoir were captured by force, it would resist fiercely.

And making one Mega Evolve? That would be nearly impossible.

The only exception would be if Chris's Gardevoir were a "hidden dark personality"—an occurrence as unlikely as someone being randomly struck by a meteor while walking down the street.

With that realization, Vladimir and Roy fully acknowledged Chris.

"Teacher, David and the others have arrived to celebrate the New Year," Roy said, glancing at his phone.

"Then let's head back," Vladimir nodded before turning to Chris. "Aura training takes time—don't rush it."

"Also, in the coming days, many senior trainers will be visiting to pay their New Year's respects. Take the opportunity to meet them and expand your connections."

"Understood, Teacher!" Chris replied enthusiastically.
