Till redressed hurriedly, a deep blush creeping over his cheeks spreading to the tops of his ears, whilst Ren adjusted his clothing and retied his hair, all the while humming a low tune under his breath with a cheerful smile on his angelic face.
Till cast his eyes down, away from the almost blinding sight, but was instantly met with another wave of guilt when he noted that they had still been kneeling in a small pool of his own blood, with Elora and Jace's, now mutilated, bodies lying just a few feet away.
He grimaced, desperately trying to find somewhere safe to look before he spied Apollo sitting atop the bed beneath the metal staircase, casually washing his fur.
When he caught Till's eyes, he froze and tilted his head to the side with an odd expression, as if to say, 'What a traitor...', before lifting his paw back in the air and continuing the action.
Was that a judgmental look? Was he being reproached by a cat?
Till groaned softly and dropped his head into his hands.
