Chapter 273 - Chapter 273: The Shock of the Demon Domain

Chapter 273: The Shock of the Demon Domain

Extreme North of the Demon Domain.

This is an ancient wasteland where the cold wind, like a knife, continually sweeps across the land, leaving it scarred and battered. The environment is so harsh that hardly anyone ventures here, and the wild beasts that dwell here, despite being Dou Saints, have not yet gained sentience.

Suddenly, the sky above this region twisted violently, and a massive black rift, thousands of feet long, tore open. An indescribable wave of energy surged out, shooting straight into the heavens. This phenomenon was visible even from tens of thousands of miles away, drawing the attention of many powerful beings within the demon clans.

Soon, a rumor began to spread, causing a stir throughout the entire Demon Domain. The rumor claimed that the legacy of the Devouring Lord had appeared.

The Devouring Lord was one of the Ancient Eight Masters and ranked third among the strongest beings of the ancient world. His legacy was highly coveted, even by those who had reached the Reincarnation stage.

Consequently, the four dominant clans and the eight royal clans of the Demon Domain, along with various other forces, began dispatching their people to the extreme north.

Upon hearing this news, Xiao Tian, who had been planning to leave, decided to join the Tian Yao Clan members heading to the north.

...

While the entire Demon Domain was in an uproar, in a certain deep mountain range within the Demon Domain, the mountains appeared pitch black, and even the clouds in the sky were dark, filled with a chilling cold.

Atop one of the peaks deep within this mountain range, black mist began to gather, forming a dark silhouette. This figure looked towards the north and said coldly, "Is that the Devouring Lord's place of death? This annoying guy doesn't let people rest even after his death..."

"King Guiyuan, should we head there too, now that everyone is flocking to the extreme north?" Another figure emerged behind the first one.

"The Devouring Lord was the second strongest among the Ancient Eight Masters. His legacy could create another Devouring Lord, so we must destroy it!" King Guiyuan said, his body emanating an intense, sinister killing intent.

...

The extreme north of the Demon Domain, which normally saw no visitors, was now teeming with people. Crowds of dark figures were gathered here, with more continuously arriving.

"Chirp!"

Suddenly, a cry echoed through the sky as nine-colored light filled the heavens. A massive nine-colored bird, thousands of feet long, flapped its wings, tearing through space as it flew.

"That's the Nine Phoenix Clan," Xiao Diao said as he looked at the bird.

"Roar!"

A dragon's roar resounded as eight figures appeared in the sky. They brought with them an ancient, pure dragon might that blanketed the area.

These were members of the Dragon Clan. They scanned the crowd and quickly spotted Xiao Tian. They descended and respectfully greeted, "Greetings, Punishment Elder!"

"Rise," Xiao Tian said, waving his hand.

"Yes!" The eight responded in unison, then stood respectfully behind Xiao Tian.

Hearing this, the crowd turned their gaze to Xiao Tian. Seeing Xiao Diao and Zhu Li beside him, they were puzzled. They couldn't understand why a Dragon Clan elder would be with members of the Tian Yao Diao Clan.

Shortly after, the void twisted again as the Kunpeng Clan arrived. This time, only five members came, led by an elder with silver hair. Alongside him were three other elders and a woman.

The woman wore red, with delicate features and a tall, graceful figure. Despite her beauty, her face was cold as ice, and her flowing silver hair added to her frosty demeanor. Her Yuan Power was relatively weak, only at the Minor Death Profound Realm, but her spiritual power had reached the level of a Minor Rune Master.

With all the factions present, they waited for the dangerous wind to subside the next day before making their move.

The Next Day.

As the wind weakened, countless figures surged forward. But soon, screams echoed as the winds, though weakened, were still deadly.

"Swoosh!" The Grand Elder of the Nine Phoenix Clan took out a glowing orb and led his people inside, using the fourteenth-ranked divine artifact, the Heavenly Feather Demon Suppressing Fan.

"Let's move ahead!" Xiao Tian said, causing the space around the Tian Yao Diao Clan and Dragon Clan members to twist. In an instant, they appeared before a massive black rift, thousands of feet wide.

"What terrifying energy! Truly worthy of the Devouring Lord!" Xiao Diao said, staring at the rift.

Xiao Tian felt the Devouring Ancestor Symbol within him start to tremble, and he sensed a strange connection with the shattered space.

"Let's go!" Xiao Tian took a deep breath and led the way into the rift. The group followed quickly.

As they entered, space ripples surged around them, and a powerful repulsive force tried to push them out. This legacy site of the Devouring Lord was off-limits to ordinary Reincarnation stage powerhouses. However, Xiao Tian, nearly as powerful as the Devouring Lord himself, was unaffected.

"Open!" Xiao Tian unleashed his full power, forcibly breaking through the repulsive force.

Inside, they found a vast, desolate land, crisscrossed with massive ravines, remnants of ancient battles. Giant white bones lay scattered, relics of powerful beings from thousands of years ago.

"Interesting," Xiao Tian said, spotting a colossal skeleton in a deep chasm. "That's a Dark Saint Tiger's skeleton. It would be perfect for Xiao Yan."

He grabbed the skeleton from a distance, thinking of his friend Xiao Yan, who could use its power. This was the ancestor of all tiger beasts, a member of an ancient dominant clan.

After collecting the skeleton, Xiao Tian headed towards a lone black peak on the horizon, where a black palace stood, seemingly eternal. This was the Devouring Hall, the place where the Devouring Lord met his end.
