That monster looked scary. It was just a goblin, even if it had red skin and not like the ogre the professionals had to face so why...? Was it because it was her first time seeing a live monster up close?
Her throat ran dry all of a sudden and she gulped, swear rolling down the corner of her face as her palms began to sweat.
She wondered if Steph was having the same problem as her. Since she hadn't heard the sound of her snipper, then it meant she hadn't shot yet.
So, it wasn't just her.
'I can do it.' she told herself. 'It's not like it can hurt me from high up here. I just need to pull the trigger. Think of it as target practice. I never miss.'
She was about to pull the trigger but Steph suddenly beat her to it, taking the head of red goblin in her scope in one shot.
She blinked, surprised, and then turned to Steph.
"Hey, that was my target." She whined but Steph stuck out her tongue and snickered.
"Try to take mine then. Anyway, I'm ahead of you by one."
