Chapter 309 - Chapter 267: Post-Battle Gains and a New Secretary

Kumogakure had never harbored rogue ninjas before, at least under normal circumstances.

But now, with the Fourth Raikage and their two Jinchūriki captured, the entire village had fallen. Any further resistance was meaningless.

Mabui could have given the order to fight to the death, but that would have meant the complete destruction of Kumogakure.

Upon hearing intelligence that Samui and the Two-Tails' Jinchūriki, Yugito Nii, were still alive, she finally chose to surrender.

As Mabui knelt down, the shinobi of Kumogakure, in silence, abandoned their resistance.

In truth, this was not the first time an entire village had submitted.

The last instance dated back to the era of the God of Shinobi, Hashirama Senju.

A faint glimmer of hope lingered in Mabui's heart.

She fantasized that Shinho might emulate Hashirama, redistributing the tailed beasts and rebalancing the shinobi world.

"Lord Hokage!"

Anko exhaled deeply before raising her arm in a triumphant cheer.

The shinobi of Konoha followed her lead, shouting with unrestrained emotion.

They vented feelings of survival and exhilaration after victory.

To them, today's battle had been a rollercoaster of events.

First, they were surrounded by eight thousand Kumogakure ninjas. When defeat seemed inevitable, Shinho finally made his entrance.

With strength akin to a god, he singlehandedly unleashed terrifying power, bringing the battle to an end.

They had learned a profound truth:

When someone is strong enough, numbers cease to matter.

Compared to the shinobi of Konoha, those of Kumogakure looked utterly despondent.

Many wore expressions of bitter resentment.

Kumogakure had always been domineering in the shinobi world; they had never endured such humiliation.

"A new era of the shinobi world is coming," Nagato said to himself, his gaze fixed on Shinho.

Konan nodded slightly.

Among the Five Great Shinobi Villages, Kumogakure had been second only to Konoha in strength.

The Raikage throughout history were elite shinobi.

Not to mention the Two-Tails and Eight-Tails Jinchūriki.

Now that Kumogakure had fallen, the defeat of Iwagakure and Kirigakure was merely a matter of time.

Moreover, Akatsuki had assisted in this battle.

With Obito dead, there was no significant force left to oppose them.

The era led by Konoha was indeed dawning.

A glimmer of hope appeared in Konan's eyes.

She had yearned for peace in the shinobi world for a long time.

Now, the opportunity had finally come.

Determined, she decided to stay by Shinho 's side to witness the shape of this new world.

"Stand up," Shinho said, rubbing Mabui's head lightly.

"…"

Mabui rose to her feet.

She suddenly recalled an analysis she had once conducted about Shinho.

His only possible weakness was his penchant for charm.

She, Samui, and Yugito were all exceptionally attractive.

And the most telling sign was that he had spared their lives in battle.

Showing mercy in a war must have a reason.

Mabui's heart raced as she clenched the edge of her robe.

If he truly had such thoughts, what should she do?

Resist to the death?

But now, the fate of Kumogakure lay entirely in Shinho's hands.

Subconsciously, she raised her head.

She had to admit, Shinho was quite handsome.

Biting her lip, she found herself lost in a whirlwind of thoughts.

Shinho ignored her and instead approached Nagato and Konan.

"Lord Hokage," Konan greeted him proactively.

"Today's battle was won thanks to the two of you," Shinho said, extending his hands as green chakra began to glow. "Nagato, let me heal you."

"Thank you, Lord Hokage," Nagato replied, with a hint of respect in his tone.

Strength rules all.

Like Obito before him, Nagato had come to this realization.

The Rinnegan was not invincible.

"Lord Hokage!"

Anko and the others surrounded Shinho.

Compared to Nagato, their respect and admiration were far more evident.

To them, someone who could defeat the Eight-Tails Jinchūriki so easily deserved the title of the God of Shinobi.

Just like Hashirama Senju in the past.

But that era was too distant, and the impact wasn't as profound as what they had witnessed with their own eyes.

"You, take people to clean the battlefield and gather the wounded," Shinho instructed Anko.

"Yes!" Anko stood tall and replied confidently, "I will do my utmost to complete your order!"

Shinho's eyelid twitched. Her enthusiasm was indeed remarkable.

"Just take two days to rest," Shinho said, dispelling the Mystical Palm Technique.

Nagato flexed his arm and was surprised.

He was almost fully recovered?

Although Shinho was Tsunade's student, his fame across the shinobi world came from his transformation and taijutsu, not his medical ninjutsu.

Only now did Nagato realize how skilled Shinho's medical techniques were.

"Lord Hokage!" Mabui stepped forward, pleading, "Could you please heal Lord Raikage first?"

While Shinho had been healing Nagato, they had found the Fourth Raikage.

Struck down like a mosquito by the Six-Armed Heavenly Zombie King's form, he was on the brink of death.

Now lying unconscious, he was bleeding profusely, as though he could pass away at any moment.

C had attempted emergency medical treatment on the Fourth Raikage, but it had little effect.

Helpless, Mabui had no choice but to plead with Shinho for assistance.

The Fourth Raikage was the backbone of Kumogakure. If he were to die, it would spell utter despair for the village.

"Take me to him," Shinho said casually.

His intention for sparing the Fourth Raikage was simple: to ensure Mabui and the others would submit.

If the situation devolved into mutual destruction, the battle would've been meaningless. After all, he still had dreams of forming a personal secretary team.

"Thank you!" Mabui was briefly stunned before expressing her gratitude.

She hadn't expected Shinho to agree so easily.

Shinho arrived in front of the Fourth Raikage.

Now on the brink of death, the once-dominant figure bore no resemblance to his former glory.

Mystical Palm Technique!

Shinho extended his hands and slightly raised an eyebrow.

The damage to the Raikage's body was severe.

He could sense the Raikage's shattered internal organs, a chaotic mess inside his body.

If not for his incredibly robust physique, the Raikage would have already passed on to the Pure Land.

Fortunately, with Konoha's access to Hashirama's cells and the advanced bio-techniques involving White Zetsu, saving him wouldn't be a problem.

A moment later, Shinho withdrew his hands and stood up.

Mabui, Darui, C, and the others watched him intently.

"He's severely injured and will require extensive surgery," Shinho said after a brief pause. "I've stabilized him enough to safely transport him to Konoha."

"Thank you!" Mabui exhaled deeply in relief.

"It's nothing," Shinho said with a light chuckle, "After all, I'm the one who beat him up."

Mabui's expression froze, realizing she had momentarily forgotten that fact.

Darui and C dared not voice their anger but could barely suppress their frustration.

"Lord Hokage," Yugao Uzuki approached and reported, "The wounded have been gathered."

"Including Kumogakure's injured?" Shinho asked, glancing at Mabui.

"Yes." Yugao nodded before heading off to carry out the task.

"I'll arrange it immediately," Mabui quickly responded, realizing Shinho intended to treat everyone at once.

For other medical-nin, such an endeavor would be impossible. But for Tsunade's student, it was achievable.

Soon, all the wounded were placed on the ground in an orderly manner.

Shinho bit his thumb and pressed his hand to the ground.

Bang!

A massive slug appeared with a puff of smoke.

"Lady Katsuyu, I'll be relying on you," Shinho said, pointing to the injured.

"No problem," Lady Katsuyu replied.

Having worked alongside Tsunade in numerous battlefield rescues, Lady Katsuyu was highly experienced.

Its massive body divided into countless smaller slugs, each the size of a person's arm, which crawled to the injured.

Shinho placed his hand on Lady Katsuyu and activated the Mystical Palm Technique.

His chakra channeled through Lady Katsuyu to every wounded individual.

In the original lore, Tsunade and Lady Katsuyu could heal an entire village at once. Compared to that, this number of wounded wasn't even close to their limits.

The only downside was that Shinho couldn't move during the healing process.

Closing his eyes, he took the time to reflect on his gains from this battle.

..

[Achievement Unlocked: "Screaming Cat" Reward: White Cloud Cushion Gu]

[White Cloud Cushion Gu: A Rank 5 Gu that aids cultivation, enhancing the refinement of Primeval Essence and nourishing the aperture.]

..

This was the reward for defeating Yugito Nii, the Two-Tails' Jinchūriki.

While the achievement's name was unremarkable, the reward was invaluable.

The White Cloud Cushion Gu, a rare cultivation-accelerating Gu, could significantly reduce the time Shinho needed to ascend to the Gu Immortal level.

..

[Achievement Unlocked: "Thunderlord" Reward: Heartseize Gu]

[Heartseize Gu: A Rank 5 Gu that captures the target's mind, inducing a state of confusion and temporarily impairing their awareness and cognitive ability.]

..

This achievement was triggered by the Fourth Raikage's incapacitation.

Heartseize Gu, a Rare soul Path Gu, was exceptionally powerful.

In battle, even a moment of distraction could decide the outcome.

Moreover, it could be paired with Enslavement Path Gu such as Slavery Gu or Serpent Mastery Gu, making it easier to control targets.

..

[Achievement Unlocked: "Takoyaki" Reward: Invisibility Gu]

[Invisibility Gu: A Rank 5 Gu that grants invisibility, detectable only by specific Rank 5 scouting Gu.]

..

This was the reward for defeating Killer B and the Eight-Tails.

Invisibility Gu was an upgraded version of the Hidden Scale Gu.

In the shinobi world, no ninja possessed the means to detect it, unless they reached the power level of a Rank 6 Gu Immortal.

..

[Achievement Unlocked: "Master Actor" Reward: Flying Bear Strength Gu]

[Flying Bear Strength Gu: A Rank 6 Immortal Gu that grants the user a chance to summon the phantom of a flying bear during an attack, unleashing its divine power.]

..

This was the reward for killing Obito.

As one of the most pivotal characters in the original story, Obito's influence on the narrative was immense, rivaling even Madara and Kaguya Ōtsutsuki.

Given his abilities, particularly Kamui, he was notoriously difficult to kill.

Thus, being rewarded with an Immortal Gu felt fitting.

The Flying Bear Strength Gu was a powerful Strength Path Immortal Gu, akin to the White Elephant Primeval Strength Gu and Dragon Elephant Giant Strength Gu that Shinho had previously acquired.

Since Shinho was currently at the Rank 5 peak Gu Master, the system temporarily safeguarded the Immortal Gu for him. This ensured his aperture wouldn't be overwhelmed.

Shinho opened his eyes.

Three Rank 5 Gu and one Rank 6 Immortal Gu, this battle had been immensely rewarding.

But it wasn't over yet.

Iwagakure and Kirigakure would undoubtedly yield more achievements.

Perhaps even more Immortal Gu.

Shinho silently decided to focus on cultivation after unifying the shinobi world.

Once he reached Rank 6 as a Gu Immortal, he could freely utilize Immortal Gu and no longer fear the likes of the Sage of Six Paths or Kaguya Ōtsutsuki.

Fortunately, with Akatsuki destroyed and Black Zetsu unable to enact the Eye of the Moon Plan, Kaguya's resurrection was entirely under Shinho's control.
