Chapter 222 - Chapter 222: Morgans—He Can Control My Birds!

Where he belongs?

That could only mean Clarked Island. Was Ryuen trying to make Boshichi atone for his crimes in front of the victims? Or was he planning some kind of trial?

But realistically, that wouldn't accomplish much.

"Ryuen, taking Boshichi to Clarked Island won't do anything," Sengoku hinted.

"Hahahaha~~~"

"Old man Sengoku, I know what you're trying to do. But don't take me for a fool. Until our dream is achieved, we won't do anything that gets in the way of it.

As for why I took Boshichi, you'll find out tomorrow.

Oh, right—I can send you a video to watch right now."

After saying that, Ryuen gave a slight nod to Nami, who was standing nearby.

Nami walked over to the table and sent a freshly recorded video to Marine Headquarters, Fleet Admiral's office.

~~~~~~
At the same time, the video transponder snail at Marine Headquarters activated.
A video recording of a ship's deck started playing.
All eight people in the office fixed their eyes on the screen.
Just then, the transponder snail transmitted another voice message:
"Old man Sengoku, send a warship to me by noon the day after tomorrow. That's all."
Click—
...
No one in the office paid much attention to Ryuen's last words.
Their full attention was locked onto the video playing on the screen.
The video wasn't very long and finished playing quickly.
But the people in the office remained silent.
Sengoku's plan was originally meant to push Ryuen to completely oppose the World Government, forcing the Dream Crew to speed up their journey instead of aimlessly drifting through the Grand Line.
They didn't care about world maps or anything like that. What they cared about was whether Marine justice could continue to exist in the future.
There was some risk that this would turn the Dream Crew against the Marines, but they all believed in the crew's sense of justice. They knew Ryuen and his people were good at heart.
Once they entered the New World, without the open protection of the World Government, they would quickly clash with the Four Emperors.
At that point, the Marines could coordinate with the Dream Crew to take down one of the Four Emperors.
If they became enemies with the Four Emperors, Sengoku was confident that, given Ryuen's personality, he wouldn't refuse to work with the Marines.
But now, Sengoku had a bad feeling.
"Sengoku-san, I have a feeling that Rear Admiral Ryuen might release this video to the entire sea. And maybe… it won't just be this one video…" Kizaru said slowly.
"I agree with Borsalino," Vice Admiral Tsuru added.
"This is a big deal. Morgans wouldn't dare publish something like this unless he wanted the entire sea to hunt him down," Sengoku said in a serious tone.
Hearing this, everyone in the office nodded in agreement.
*Crunch, crunch—*
Suddenly, the sound of Garp munching on senbei crackers broke the silence. Sengoku's face darkened.
"Garp!"
"Show some respect! We're still in a meeting!" Sengoku shouted angrily.
"Sengoku, I just thought of something… Something doesn't feel right…" Garp ignored Sengoku's anger, lost in thought.
"What is it?" Sengoku suppressed his frustration and asked.
"I remember that when the Dream Exploration Crew released the East Blue map, Morgans was surprisingly cooperative. According to intel, the agreed profit split was 70-30, but in the end, Morgans even gave up an extra 10%.
And then there was the incident from Jaya Island to Long Ring Long Land—that involved several Celestial Dragon families. But Morgans still cooperated without hesitation. Don't you think that's unusual for him?" Garp asked, puzzled.
"You're saying… this time, Morgans might also work with Ryuen and report this whole thing?" Sengoku immediately understood what Garp was implying.
"Exactly!" Garp confirmed.
"Fleet Admiral Sengoku, we can't let them do whatever they want! If this gets out, it'll be a huge embarrassment for the Marines!" Akainu said right away.
Hearing that, Sengoku's expression darkened.
After thinking for a moment, he gave Brannew an order.
"Contact Morgans. I want to speak to him myself."
"Yes, sir!"
"Fleet Admiral Sengoku!" Brannew immediately followed the order and started reaching out to Morgans.
The office fell into silence again.
~~~~~~

A few minutes earlier, Clarkde Island, Henshuu Village.

This village was located at the edge of Clarkde Island, and its shape resembled a small boat, which is how it got its name.

Right now, Ryuen was live-streaming the village's devastation using a visual transponder snail. Morgans was watching in shock, especially after seeing the earlier recording from the Dream.

And to make things worse, these facts had already been confirmed by a Marine Vice Admiral!

"Uh… Ryuen, sir… Just how strong are these Holy Knights…?" Morgans couldn't help but ask.

"They could wipe out a current Four Emperors crew without much trouble," Ryuen answered calmly.

"W-What?!" Morgans gasped, even dropping the transponder snail from his hand.

He quickly picked it up again and forced a smile. "Ryuen,… Ryuen… If they can take down a Four Emperors crew, I can't even imagine how high their status is in Mary Geoise. Please, Ancestor Ryuen, have mercy on me…"

"I've thought about it. From now on, you should move your headquarters to Skypiea. That way, you can avoid the World Government's pursuit more easily," Ryuen said without any change in his tone.

"But…"

"Morgans, don't forget your dream!" Ryuen interrupted, shouting.

"Got it. I'll be counting on you from now on…" Morgans said, sounding defeated.

"Don't worry, you won't die. And even if you do, I'll just take your lineage factor and ask Vegapunk to clone another you," Ryuen joked.

"You bastard!"

"How can you even think that? Get that idea out of your head right now!" Morgans was terrified.

"Hahahaha~~~"

"Alright, I was just messing with you. You actually took it seriously. Hurry up and sort out today's news and make sure it gets published properly tomorrow!" Ryuen said with a laugh.

"Okay~~"

"Tomorrow, I'll spread this news across the entire ocean!"

*Click—*

Ryuen looked at the phone, which Morgans had just hung up, and shook his head with a smile. These guys were all sharp.

If it weren't for the fact that he could directly control the news-delivery birds, Morgans would never have agreed so easily.

~~~~~~
Somewhere on an island in the New World.
After hanging up, Morgans rubbed his bird head with his wings.
*Bulu bulu bulu~~~*
The moment he hung up, the transponder snail rang again. He quickly picked it up. "Ryuen, didn't I already agree—"
"Morgans, it's me, Sengoku!"
"Wa—Sengoku Fleet Admiral!" Morgans was instantly wide awake.
"You agreed to that kid Ryuen's request?"
"Uh… um, Fleet Admiral Sengoku, what are you talking about? I don't understand…" Morgans tried to laugh it off.
"Don't play dumb with me!"
"Gahaha~~~ Fleet Admiral Sengoku, I had no choice…" Morgans said with a helpless smile.
"And why is that?"
"Because he can control my birds…"
"NANI?!!!"
