When Kouhei approached Misuzu, she didn't waste even a second. Her words flowed out smoothly, almost as if she had been holding them in all day, waiting for just the right moment.
"Kouhei-kun, let's go on a date. Just the two of us," she said.
"Huh?" Kouhei froze mid-step, his mind going completely blank. The words she spoke were so unexpected, so out of the blue, that it took him several seconds just to process them. "A-A date?"
"Is that bad?" she asked, tilting her head ever so slightly with a playful glint in her eyes. Her bangs gently cascaded down across her forehead, swaying just above her lashes. They framed her face delicately, but even as they slightly shadowed her features, they couldn't hide the radiance of her beauty.
"It's not bad at all... I just wasn't expecting it," he admitted, scratching the back of his head in awkward surprise. "Why so suddenly? I could've at least prepared myself mentally."
