Rachel was running from giant mosquitos. She turned a corner and the swaying stalks threw ten to fifteen rodents at her. They seemed to be various species of different colors, hair textures, and body types. But she recognized them all to be rodents. They came at her with teeth bared even as the mosquitoes closed in on her from behind.
She quickly turned down another branch of the maze. She was pretty sure this was a dead end but she needed to be unseen foe a moment. She spotted a niche set into the grain and she ran to it. She practically dove into it and instantly began pouring dark and shade magic into it to deepen the shadows and hide her presence.
She stood perfectly still as the two groups of creatures and for a moment were confused as to what to do. Then a rodent jumped up and bit a mosquito in half. Yellow and green gore burst into the air and the mosquitoes began attacking the rodents.
