Jingliu planned to revisit several old haunts today, offering libations and reminiscing about past memories. She also intended to bring closure to the shared history of the High-Cloud Quintet.

Just as Jingliu was curious about Su Jinyan's past experiences, Su Jinyan harbored many questions regarding Jingliu's own history, awaiting her firsthand answers.

A brand-new star ferry was docked at the harbor.

"Jingliu, hop on board; there's plenty of space here," Su Jinyan beckoned with a wave.

Jingliu opened the cabin door and took the seat next to the pilot.

Confidently, Su Jinyan pressed the ignition button for the star ferry, summoning a virtual jade divination panel before her eyes.

A sweet female voice chimed, "Navigation starting, destination: Stargazer Navalia."

Jingliu asked, "Xiao Didi, do you know how to drive a star ferry? Do you have a license?"

Su Jinyan smiled lightly, "Of course not, buckle up."

"It's time to showcase my true skills," she declared proudly. "No one who's ridden my star ferry has ever criticized my driving."

Jingliu's lovely eyes widened, seemingly hearing her friend's playful laughter echo in her ears: "My star ferry piloting skills rank among the top on Xianzhou."

The beautiful white fox maiden, eyes curved with amusement and lips upturned, boastfully praised her own prowess as a star ferry pilot to Jingliu.

And indeed, few vessels under Bai Heng's control ever returned to port unscathed. Behind her back, members of the Sky-Faring Commission nicknamed her the "Star Ferry Killer."

Those cherished memories felt like they were just yesterday, yet she could never return—

Whoosh!

Su Jinyan abruptly pulled the control lever upward and forcefully pressed down on the pedals.

The star ferry erupted with unmatched speed, propelling both occupants within the cabin forward violently.

Su Jinyan and Jingliu lurched suddenly ahead.

Bam!

Unbuckled, Jingliu shot upwards and collided hard against the star ferry's windshield, leaving several cracks upon impact. Her delicate, snow-white face was now pressed comically against the glass, transforming the ice-carved beauty into an instant clownish spectacle.

Su Jinyan stared, speechless.

Jingliu was speechless.

Damn! Didn't I tell you to buckle up?

Su Jinyan slammed on the brakes and hastily helped Jingliu upright amidst his fluster.

"Sorry, sorry, I braked too abruptly. Are you hurt?"

A hint of shimmer flickered in Jingliu's crimson eyes as her voice trembled, "I'm fine."

Su Jinyan felt utterly perplexed.

How did he manage to make Jingliu tear up from the impact? It must have been incredibly painful. Surely this wouldn't cause a drastic drop in her favor towards me, right?

What puzzled him even more was that maintaining balance should have been effortless for Jingliu. Yet, she still ended up crashing into the windshield. For someone like Jingliu to allow herself to collide with such force seemed truly inconceivable.

Jingliu pursed her lips momentarily before quickly regaining her composure.

"Xiao Didi," she began, "you mentioned earlier..."

"No one who has ridden your star ferry ever criticized your driving skills?" Confusion clouded Jingliu's beautiful eyes.

"Mm-hmm, but they never got the chance to evaluate me because I promptly sent them to meet their maker, the Plagues Author." He added, "And I kindly marked 'extremely satisfied' on their behalf."

Jingliu shook her head slightly, "Then I must give you a poor review."

"At this rate, few star ferries will return to port intact under your control."

Su Jinyan's expression turned proud as he pulled the joystick, continuing to stomp on the pedals and propelling the star ferry forward.

"Be confident," Jingliu said gently. "With you at the helm, not a single star ferry has ever returned unscathed."

"You remind me of someone from my past," she continued. "I see her reflection in you."

Su Jinyan raised an eyebrow, turning sideways. "Really?" he asked, surprised. "Never thought there could be another like me—"

"Handsome, charming, flirtatious, captivating countless maidens?"

As they conversed, the star ferry maintained its blistering speed of 900 km/h.

A faint smile played across Jingliu's lips. "Although her nature was lively, it wasn't quite as mischievous as yours."

"She seemed to speak with me about stars traversed, wondrous sights seen, and dangers narrowly escaped... But now, those memories just swirl around in my mind, eluding me no matter how hard I try to grasp them."

Su Jinyan couldn't help but marvel. Why did Jingliu's gaze suddenly feel reminiscent of reminiscing about a lost spouse?

"Do you know what, Jingliu-jiejie? In truth, the Creator is fair," Su Jinyan sighed deeply.

"Is that so?" Jingliu responded.

"Indeed," Su Jinyan affirmed solemnly. "For every door He closes for you, He inevitably opens a window."

"It's true in reverse as well; I've experienced this deeply," Su Jinyan continued. "While He bestowed upon me a handsome appearance, He deprived me of steadfast devotion."

Jingliu remained silent.

"Big Sister Jingliu, why worry? Our encounter feels like—"

"Hush, Xiao Didi, look ahead!" Jingliu urgently interrupted him.

Spotting the familiar blue figure up ahead, Su Jinyan instinctively gripped the control lever tightly and slammed on the brakes.

The wind howled past his ears.

Bang!

The intense inertia thrust Jingliu forward, causing her to lose balance once more. She collided with the windshield again, shattering its sturdy glass instantly.

As Jingliu's lithe body tumbled through the air, she gracefully landed on her feet.

Dan Heng watched, astounded, as Jingliu leaped out from the star ferry window, his jaw hanging open for several moments. Had Jingliu arranged their meeting just to showcase her acrobatic skills?

"Destination is nearby; navigation complete."

The star ferry skidded violently across the ground, sparks flying, before erupting into a loud explosion.

Su Jinyan hastily escaped from the wreckage, joining Jingliu at the scene.

"I think star ferries should really adopt autonomous driving features. Otherwise, they're far too unfriendly for aerialists like me."

Dan Heng stood speechless for a long while.

Do you even deserve to call yourself an aerialist?

He recalled their first encounter when Su Jinyan nearly killed Luocha in a crash.

It seemed now that Su Jinyan's actions hadn't been intentional.

Contrary to anger, a hint of gentleness appeared on Jingliu's refined and icy features.

Star ferry crash survivor...

What a nostalgic feeling.

Jingliu softly chided, "Xiao Didi, didn't I tell you to watch the road ahead?"

"After we return, perhaps you should properly learn how to pilot a star ferry."

Su Jinyan sighed, "Looks like I'll have to raise my partner standards from now on."

After a moment of silence, Dan Heng couldn't resist asking, "Why? What does a star ferry accident have to do with raising your partner standards?"

"Of course it does," Su Jinyan replied seriously. "I need someone who can withstand crashes—like Jingliu here, capable of landing safely even after an incident. They would be my top priority."

Jingliu raised an eyebrow but refrained from drawing his sword—a sign that he had quite a high tolerance for Su Jinyan's antics. Dan Heng found himself impressed despite himself.

"In that case, maybe Su-xiong should consider marrying one of Mr. Welt's Gundams."

Surprised, Su Jinyan remarked, "I never thought you, being so reserved, could make jokes too."

Dan Heng remained speechless.

In a composed tone, Jingliu interjected, "Imbibitor Lunae."

"When I left Xianzhou, word had it that they took your scales and forced you to regenerate anew," Dan Heng continued. "Then they cast you into The Shackling Prison. I thought 'Imbibitor Lunae' would vanish forever from existence. Yet upon my return to Luofu, I beheld once more the awe-inspiring sight of you parting seas and guiding tides, even fighting alongside you as allies. It feels like a lifetime has passed."

Dan Heng furrowed his brow. "That letter, it was sent by you?"

"That's correct," Jingliu affirmed.

In a solemn tone, Dan Heng said, "Jingliu, I recognize you, but I cannot recall anything beyond that. My memories of our past life are like shattered fragments of a mirror. Picking up any piece only reveals bewildering glimpses..."

Jingliu shook his head slightly. "I don't remember... Every person seeking to escape their past uses similar excuses. As a Vidyadhara reborn, one should ideally forget all previous entanglements, leaving them void. However, you retained the High Elder's power and sporadic memories. If my guess is accurate, the dragon masters were unwilling for the dragon lineage to perish entirely and sought to revive Imbibitor Lunae from its ashes. Thus, during the punishment of scale removal, they employed deceitful means unknown to the world, transforming you into this new form."

Dan Heng asked, "Imbibitor Lunae's actions wronged many people. Do you intend to seek justice on their behalf?"

Jingliu replied mildly, "I am but a sinner myself; what right do I have to mete out divine retribution? My return to Luofu is to surrender myself to the Alliance and confront my past transgressions head-on.

"However, before being handed over for trial, I made one request," she continued. "I wished to meet with old friends long unseen, to fulfill promises we made during our days of deep affection."

"So Su-xiong..." Dan Heng began.

Su Jinyan smiled faintly. "A good question indeed."

"Given Jingliu-jiejie's current status as a criminal, someone must accompany her throughout this journey."

There was a peculiar expression in Dan Heng's eyes. "You call her 'Jingliu-jiejie'?"

"I'm only twenty years old," Su Jinyan said, puzzled. "Considering Xianzhou's time dilation, that translates to just over two hundred years—calling her 'Jingliu-jiejie' seems perfectly reasonable, doesn't it?"

"It still feels quite off," Dan Heng murmured.

Realization dawned on Su Jinyan. "Do you mean...that I should call her 'Aunt Jingliu'? Or perhaps even 'Grandma Jingliu'?"

Jingliu shot Dan Heng a cold glance without uttering a word, yet the icy aura around them intensified palpably.

"...That's not what I meant," Dan Heng replied after a momentary pause. "Call her however you wish if that's what you're comfortable with."

Su Jinyan continued, "I owe Jingliu Big Sister a promise. So our general summoned me to the Seat of Divine Foresight and said these words:

"'Minister Su,' Jing Yuan asked, 'do you fancy my master?'

"I responded, 'A graceful lady, sought by gentlemen.'

"He burst out laughing, unable to recover for quite some time. You see, Jing Yuan can be rather dull.

"Then Jing Yuan said, 'Very well, I'll give you a chance to win over my master. Whether it succeeds or fails lies entirely on you.'"

Jingliu fell silent, lost for words.

Dan Heng, skeptical, asked, "Did Jing Yuan...really say that?"

Su Jinyan coughed twice. "Of course," he replied. "I may have added a touch of artistic embellishment."

Dan Heng understood instantly—artistic embellishment was code for complete fabrication.

As they gazed upon the familiar yet alien sight of Stargazer Navalia before them, an intense wave of sorrow suddenly overwhelmed Jingliu.

"Ahh—" Clutching her forehead in anguish, she let out a moan.

An ominous black aura enveloped her, causing the air around her to bristle with escalating hostility.

Wait, I just made a joke—surely it's not enough to plunge you into Mara?

Su Jinyan hastily condensed a brilliant Treasured Radiance, soothing Jingliu's emotions.

The ability bestowed upon him by the Benevolent Medicine King proved infallible time and again. Against symptoms of Mara triggered by intense emotions, it effortlessly suppressed them, restoring tranquility.

Praise be to the Benevolent Medicine King.

"Jingliu-jiejie, are you alright?" Su Jinyan gently placed his hand on Jingliu's snowy shoulder, concern evident in his voice.

Gasping for breath, Jingliu fiercely composed herself and once more covered her eyes with a black silk blindfold.

"I'm fine; seeing familiar sights stirred memories, making me susceptible to Mara."

"Thank you earlier, Xiao Didi."

Su Jinyan waved dismissively. "No need to mention it—we're family, after all."

A sorrowful expression crossed Jingliu's face. "Xiao Didi, it's best if you don't involve yourself too deeply with me."

"Just a discarded pawn from Xianzhou, a wandering swordswoman—I'm hardly worth your concern."

"And those who have closely associated with me often meet tragic ends."

Unfazed, Su Jinyan replied, "Then we're perfectly matched."

"I am afflicted by both the Lonely Fate and the Tribulation Fiend."

"And it's not just any fate—it's a rare, immensely ominous one that brings harm to oneself and others alike."

"Look at Jing Yuan and the rest, aren't they perfectly fine?"

Jingliu parted her lips slightly. "Xiao Didi, although I may not fully understand destiny," she said, "I can discern the signs of a soaring dragon about you.

"Do you truly believe becoming one of the Xianzhou Alliance's six rulers is so effortless?"

Su Jinyan grasped Jingliu's delicate, ice-cold hand firmly, his expression earnest. "Jingliu, I'm not lying."

"Don't deceive me, Xiao Didi." Jingliu responded gently. "With just a glance into your eyes and sensing your heartbeat, I can tell whether you're being truthful or not."

Dan Heng quietly observed the intimate interaction between Jingliu and Su Jinyan, feeling a growing sense of doubt within him.

Why did Jingliu invite me here? Shouldn't I have stayed away?

Jingliu removed her black eye patch and gazed intently at Su Jinyan's face. "Are you genuinely cursed with the Lonely Fate Tribulation Fiend?"

"Yes," Su Jinyan confirmed.

Jingliu's lovely features showed surprise. "Then why hasn't anyone who has interacted with you faced misfortune thus far?"

"In theory," Su Jinyan began, "if you truly possess such a fate, the first to suffer would be your shizun, Fu Xuan."

And he wasn't far off.

Poor Shizun has had it rough indeed.

Nowadays, I secretly indulge myself every day, stealing either Xueyi, Sushang, or Qingque...

Especially Tingyun, who's long coveted Shizun's position, constantly plotting ways to overthrow her and seize control for himself.

Su Jinyan spoke solemnly, "Fate can be altered."

Before Jingliu could respond, Dan Heng interjected with confusion, "Su-xiong, as far as I know, one's fate is predetermined at birth and cannot be changed."

"Then let me ask you this," Su Jinyan replied. "Dan Heng-xiong, your past life as Imbibitor Lunae committed numerous transgressions, leading to the calamity known as the 'Imbibitor Lunae Rebellion.' Do you believe that was inevitable?"

Dan Heng looked somber. "Perhaps it was destined."

"Does Jingliu-jiejie share this belief?" Su Jinyan asked. "Do you remember our joint efforts during the 'Third Abundant Ones War'?"

Jingliu's beautiful eyes flickered, seemingly recalling something.

She had personally vowed to Bai Heng to cut down the stars above—the Prosperity Medic of Abundance. However, even cutting down the planets animated by the Plagues Author's gift of life proved arduous, let alone the Plagues Author themselves.

Despite having once succumbed to Mara, causing disasters and ultimately leading to Xianzhou erasing her existence, Jingliu still harbored lingering attachment to Xianzhou.

During the Third Abundance War, the planetary essence Ji Dou's Sea Serpent was reactivated and threatened Fang Hu.

By then, Jingliu had already succumbed to the influence of Mara, long expelled from Xianzhou, unable to return for aid.

Upon learning of Fang Hu's fate, Jingliu felt profound regret.

But within his dream, Jingliu personally participated in that Abundance War, fighting alongside Su Jinyan.

The Ji Dou Sea Serpent, formidable enough to require the combined might of the High-Cloud Quintet, was effortlessly dispatched by Jingliu with a single sword strike, extinguishing its vitality entirely.

Upon waking, Jingliu realized with shock that reality had changed, altering significant events of history as well.

And the most likely person capable of achieving this was none other than Su Jinyan.

Jingliu asked, voice trembling, "Xiao Didi, what you mean is..."

Su Jinyan replied, "If you believe it can happen, miracles will indeed occur. The seeds of hope, once planted, will eventually bloom and bear fruit. The altered past speaks volumes."

Striving to calm his excitement, Jingliu asked, "Xiao Didi, have you heard of the foxfolk aerialist Bai Heng?"

"Of course I've heard of her," Su Jinyan responded. "Bai Heng of the High-Cloud Quintet, who single-handedly turned the tide at a critical moment during battle."

"However, there isn't much about her in historical records," Su Jinyan remarked.

Bai Heng? Dan Heng's gaze grew unfocused. The name felt as unfamiliar to him as a fleeting breeze, stirring no emotions whatsoever. When it came to flight, he couldn't recall anything at all. As esteemed as Imbibitor Lunae had been, he never needed to personally steer a vessel; and in this life, as The Nameless, Dan Heng had never encountered a star ferry either.

Yet inexplicably, a young girl's clear voice echoed in his ears, panicked amidst the howling wind:

"The star ferry can't take much more of this!"

"Oh Dragon Lord, with your great prowess, hurry up and save us before it falls apart—ahhh—"

Jingliu glanced at Dan Heng. "Imbibitor, if you remember something, feel free to share."

Dan Heng gently shook his head, choosing to conceal his thoughts. "I don't remember anything."

That Dan Heng was lying caught Jingliu slightly off guard. "Lying now, I see you've learned some mischief too."

"Well...it's all just past like drifting smoke."

"I came to Stargazer Navalia merely to pay respects to her."

"Xiao Didi, may I ask you a question?" Jingliu inquired.

"What exactly is right or wrong when disturbing the peace of the deceased by attempting their resurrection?"

A subtle shift passed through Dan Heng's eyes, and he turned to look at Su Jinyan.

Su Jinyan pondered for a moment before responding, "We cannot approach this question with simplistic perspectives."

"You must consider various factors and weigh them collectively."

Jingliu nodded. "Go on."

Su Jinyan's voice deepened as he said, "Firstly, is the cost of reviving the deceased too severe?"

"Can it be achieved without any unforeseen risks?"

"Considering the perspective of the deceased during their lifetime, did they express a desire to be revived?"

"Only after eliminating as many unfavorable factors as possible should we contemplate the revival of the deceased."

Jingliu fell silent.

Su Jinyan continued, "As for what constitutes right or wrong, that's difficult to determine definitively.

"But I do know that if someone hastily decides to revive the deceased without proper preparation,

"acting impulsively without considering the consequences, it would undoubtedly be wrong."

After a long pause, Jingliu murmured softly, "Your reasoning is very sound."

"I left abruptly back then, unable to bid her farewell, and still harbor regrets to this day."

"My intention is to send a star ferry representing the deceased into the stars as a memorial tribute to her."

Su Jinyan glanced at the burning wreckage of the star ferry and hesitated, saying, "Uh... While I have no objections, are you certain you want to use this to honor Bai Heng?"

Everyone knew Little Pudding was meant for filial offerings—how could you use it to honor Bai Heng so casually? Jingliu shook his head. "Xiao Didi, don't make such jests."

"I simply want to create a brand-new star ferry."

"But I know nothing about constructing them," Su Jinyan admitted with a hint of frustration. "I only heard that star ferries can be built here."

Both turned their gazes towards Dan Heng.

Dan Heng sighed. "If neither of you knows, then I certainly wouldn't either."

Su Jinyan pondered for a moment before picking up his phone. "Hold on, let me call someone over." He continued, "She's incredibly knowledgeable; she must surely understand how to construct a star ferry."

He planned to summon Fu Xuan, as his shizun, well-versed in countless texts, would undoubtedly handle something like building a star ferry effortlessly.

Jingliu seemed to read his thoughts and interjected, "Don't call Fu Xuan."

"Instead, reach out to another artisan from the Artisanship Commission. With me here, calling Fu Xuan might not be appropriate."

Perplexed, Su Jinyan asked, "Why?"

Jingliu's tone remained calm. "Xiao Didi, do you genuinely not know or are you feigning ignorance? Grand Diviner Fu's feelings are no secret to anyone."

"If she saw us together, though her expression might betray nothing, deep down, she would undoubtedly feel bitter."

"Even if there is no connection between us, I wouldn't want her to misconstrue our interaction."

"Moreover, I can empathize with her emotions—do you understand?"

Su Jinyan sent Tingyun their location.

"Well then, let me call Tingyun over instead; she likely won't get jealous."

"And besides, Tingyun is also foxfolk."

"It would be fitting for her to join you in performing the foxfolk's 'Soul Consoling Ceremony' for Bai Heng."

Jingliu subtly glanced at him. Just how many wives did this guy have?

Before long,

Tingyun arrived, her lips slightly curved upwards in delight as she approached Su Jinyan. It seemed that the Imperial Bow of Fate was indeed favoring this young lady.

As she pondered how to slip medicine into her benefactor's drink, here presented itself the perfect opportunity.

"Benefactor, once we're done here,"

"Why not accompany me to my residence for a cup of tea?" Tingyun suggested softly.

Su Jinyan gave a gentle nod in agreement. Last night, Little March and her friends had taken turns bestowing their favors upon him; today, it was his turn to lavish attention on the little fox. Distributing affection evenly is the righteous path.

"Please follow me then, I know where the ship production begins at Stargazer Navalia." Tingyun swayed her soft, fluffy tail, her eyes gleaming mischievously.

Tonight, she was determined to utterly exhaust her Benefactor.

She would make those lustful women who covet his body deeply regret it.

Later, Tingyun planned to take photos as taunts against Miss March and the others.

Jingliu cast a cold glance at Tingyun, sensing her ill intentions. Didn't this little fox have feelings for Xiao Didi? What could she possibly be plotting? Well, with her weak abilities, the fox wouldn't cause much trouble anyway.

Tingyun's delicate frame stiffened, unable to resist glancing back at Jingliu, her thoughts swirling. Eh, why did Miss Jingliu give me such an icy stare? Surely I haven't offended her, right?

At Stargazer Navalia's ship production area:

"Miss Jingliu," Tingyun whispered softly.

"Just input commands into these mechanisms, and the vessel containing star ferry seeds will come to life."

"Soon enough, another star ferry will join the fleet at the port."

Jingliu's expression remained indifferent. "Thank you."

Tingyun's lovely eyes flickered. "The star ferry assembly line won't start operating for a while yet."

"Why don't we use this time to fetch some tea from the teahouse for everyone? Benefactor, would you accompany me?"

Just as Su Jinyan was about to agree, Jingliu politely declined on his behalf.

"Many thanks for your kind offer, Miss Tingyun, but we're not fond of tea."

Tingyun's smile faltered slightly, puzzled.

Dan Heng glanced at Jingliu, remaining silent. It was clear that Tingyun sought an opportunity to grow closer to Su Jinyan. Why disrupt their tender moment? If even he could see her intentions, surely Jingliu must have noticed too.

As for memories of his past life, Dan Heng couldn't recall them clearly. However, he doubted Jingliu's emotional intelligence was truly that low...

With a gentle laugh, Tingyun eased the awkwardness. "No worries."

"You must be hungry then. Shall I bring some refreshments and snacks for everyone along with the tea?"

"That sounds good," replied Dan Heng.

Jingliu slowly shook her head. "Apologies, Miss Tingyun."

"I prefer to stay here until the star ferry production is complete."

"This rare moment, I hope my little brother can witness it with me."

Dan Heng looked at her, intrigued.

Tingyun raised an eyebrow.

The little fox clenched his teeth inwardly, his gaze toward Jingliu turning distinctly unfriendly.

Why did people always enjoy spoiling a maiden's chances? Couldn't Miss Jingliu be more considerate? Even if they had known each other for a long time, their relationship was merely that of friends. Isn't it too much to monopolize her benefactor like this?

Su Jinyan tried to ease the tension. "Speaking of which..." he began, "what kind of person is Bai Heng in your eyes, Big Sister Jingliu?"

A nostalgic expression crossed Jingliu's eyes. "She's always impulsive yet somehow endearing," she said. "Her luck has consistently been astonishingly bad. Whenever piloting a star ferry on missions, either by sheer misfortune or due to enemy giants mistaking her as a snack, she'd often get swallowed up, or else crash deep behind enemy lines."

Su Jinyan listened quietly, struck by a sense of familiarity. It seemed even when I pilot a star ferry, fortune rarely smiles upon me.

Jingliu continued, "Few star ferries under her command return intact to port." "In secret, members of the Sky-Faring Commission call her 'the Star Ferry Killer'." "And her jinxed mouth—nine times out of ten, any misfortune she casually mentions ends up coming true."

"Over time, few cloud riders dared to journey with her anymore," Su Jinyan continued.

"But when it comes to sheer survival, her luck is astonishingly good."

"No matter how perilous the situation, she always manages to escape unscathed."

"Luck can be considered a form of strength," Su Jinyan remarked.

As they watched the star ferry assembly line come to life, Jingliu murmured, "I hope this ship, built specifically for the 'Star Ferry Killer,' will return to the stars just as she does."

Tingyun eagerly interjected, "Miss Jingliu!"

"In just a moment, the star ferry will self-assemble and enter the airfield."

"Afterward, I would like to briefly step away with our dear Benefactor. Surely you don't mind?"

Jingliu turned to Tingyun, her voice cold, "Miss Tingyun."

"While I have no desire to involve myself..."

"Considering Xiao Didi's help today, I cannot resist asking one question."

"Why are you so eager to take him away from here? What intentions do you truly harbor?"

"Eh?" Tingyun responded, taken aback.

Jingliu narrowed her striking crimson eyes. "I can sense that your intentions towards Xiao Didi are not benign."
