Chapter 8 - CHAPTER 6: THE MASTER MIND

The crowd was electric with tension, a mix of disbelief and anticipation hanging in the air. Shadow stood before the gathered reporters and onlookers, his heart pounding in his chest. "Yes, you all heard that right! Your beloved CM is a SCAMMER—the real mastermind behind my sister Asha's death. Quite a shock, isn't it?" His voice was steady, but the rage simmering beneath the surface was palpable.

He took a deep breath, recalling the night that had changed everything. "I felt the same that night when I was about to kill Roy. He was begging for his life, but then he said something unexpected—the truth. Want to hear the truth?" He asked mockingly, his eyes glinting with a fierce intensity.

The reporters exchanged frustrated glances, but they nodded, sighing in resignation. Shadow looked at them with a smirk, relishing the moment. "The medical scam—the biggest scam! The whole situation went to chaos!"

Gasps rippled through the crowd, the media and police clearly taken aback by Shadow's bold statement. One reporter, his voice shaky with disbelief, asked, "What scam? How are you sure? Tell us! Please!"

Shadow leaned forward, his excitement palpable. "Aren't we all eager to hear the plan of your CM?" He paused for effect, letting the tension build in the air.

"That day, Roy told me he was ordered to take my sister out. He was ordered to rape her because… because she knew about the illegal activities happening in her hospital. The drugs, the fake medicines—it's a massive medical scam!"

He scanned the faces in the crowd, watching as shock and horror washed over them. "Look at you all, shocked! Anyway, you people didn't know about this, did you? You all thought the hospital was so good. Now look what happened!"

The atmosphere shifted, the weight of his words sinking in. The reporters were silent, their pens still, as they processed the gravity of the situation. One reporter finally found his voice, asking, "But how can you prove this? What evidence do you have?"

Shadow's expression hardened. "I have the evidence. I have the footage, the testimonies. I will expose everything. Asha's death will not be in vain. I will make sure the truth comes out, no matter the cost."

Flashback

As Shadow recalled the night he confronted Roy, the memory flooded back with vivid clarity. He had found Roy in a dark alley, fear and rage coursing through him.

"Please, please don't kill me!" Roy had begged, his voice trembling. "I didn't want to do it! I was ordered to! They told me to take her out because she knew too much!"

Shadow had pressed him, his voice low and dangerous. "Who ordered you? Who is behind this?"

Roy had looked around nervously, sweat beading on his forehead. "I can't say! They'll kill me! But it's the CM! He's involved in everything! The drugs, the fake medicines—it's all part of a bigger plan!"

Shadow's heart raced as he realized the depth of the conspiracy. "You think I'll let you live after what you did to my sister?" he had growled, his hands trembling with fury.

"I'm just a pawn! I didn't want to hurt her! I swear!" Roy had cried, desperation in his eyes.

Present

Shadow's voice broke through the crowd's stunned silence. "You see, Asha was a threat to them. She was a good doctor, and she was uncovering the truth. They couldn't let her live. They thought they could silence her, but they were wrong."

The reporters leaned in, their expressions a mix of horror and fascination. "What will you do now?" one asked, his voice barely above a whisper.

A smirk appeared on Shadow's lips as he leaned closer to the gathered reporters, his eyes glinting with mischief. "Want to know what I'm going to do? Hmm, maybe I'll do something crazy—a very big, crazy plan."

The reporters exchanged shocked glances, their curiosity piqued. "What crazy plan? Shadow, please tell us!" one of them urged, leaning forward in anticipation.

Shadow regarded them with a knowing look. "Tell me, is the CM visiting the jail today?"

The reporters swallowed hard, their expressions shifting from confusion to concern. "Yes, the CM is visiting today. Why do you ask?"

Shadow's gaze sharpened as he pressed on. "May I know what time it is now?"

The reporters glanced at their watches, their curiosity growing. "It's almost 10:00 PM. Why do you ask?"

Shadow closed his eyes for a moment, savoring the tension in the air. Then, with a sudden burst of energy, he exclaimed, "BOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMM!"

The words echoed like thunder, reverberating through the crowd. "The largest criminal jail has just been blown up!" he declared, his voice filled with a mix of triumph and defiance.

Gasps erupted from the crowd, shock and disbelief washing over their faces. The reporters stood frozen, their pens hovering above their notepads, struggling to process the weight of his words. Shadow reveled in the chaos he had created, knowing that he had just ignited a firestorm of questions and fear. The CM's visit would not go as planned, and the truth about Asha's death would finally come to light.

Meanwhile, the largest criminal jail had been blown up, and to everyone's shock, the innocent—police officers, workers, and even the bodyguards—were safe. Only the CM and the criminals had perished, burned to death in the inferno.

As the smoke billowed into the night sky, Shadow stood amidst the chaos, a satisfied smirk playing on his lips. "Asha, did you see that? We won the battle! We won!" he exclaimed, his voice filled with a mix of triumph and relief. He felt her presence in his heart, as if she were there beside him, urging him on.

The reporters, initially filled with fear, now looked at Shadow with a mixture of apprehension and newfound respect. They had witnessed the aftermath of his actions, and the implications were staggering.

Suddenly, a brave reporter stepped forward, his voice steady despite the tension in the air. "I have a question, please answer it," he said, locking eyes with Shadow.

Shadow regarded him, nodding slightly, inviting the question.

"Did the innocent people not die? Just the CM and the criminals? Why was no one injured?" the reporter pressed, his curiosity evident.

Shadow's expression shifted to one of seriousness. "I targeted those who were responsible for the worst atrocities—those involved in rape and other heinous crimes. I didn't want any innocent lives to be lost or harmed in this. My goal was to bring justice, not to create more victims."

The reporter who had asked the question looked at Shadow with newfound respect, realizing the weight of his words. Shadow's determination to protect the innocent while exacting revenge on the guilty was a complex moral stance, one that resonated deeply in the hearts of those who had suffered at the hands of the corrupt system.

As the crowd began to process his statement, murmurs of understanding rippled through them. Shadow had not only taken a stand against injustice; he had done so with a calculated precision that left many in awe.

"Your actions have sparked a movement," the reporter continued, his voice gaining strength. "What do you plan to do next?"

Shadow straightened, his resolve hardening. "This is just the beginning. We will expose the corruption that runs deep within our system. We will fight for those who cannot fight for themselves. Asha's death will not be in vain. I will ensure that justice prevails."

The crowd erupted into applause, a wave of support washing over him. Shadow felt a surge of hope; he was not alone in this fight. Together, they would dismantle the walls of corruption and build a new foundation for justice.

As the night wore on, Shadow knew that the battle was far from over, but he was ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead. With Asha's spirit guiding him, he would not rest until the truth was revealed and justice was served.
