Floating in the air were three figures, each adorned in distinct clothing, their faces concealed behind beast-like masks. The wide brims of their black hats added to their ominous presence.
A sharp crack of thunder split the sky, forcing both Nameless and Tidalia to turn away momentarily. Nameless's heart pounded, his skin prickling with goosebumps as unease settled deep within him. He didn't know who they were, but something about them filled him with instinctual fear.
"Who… who are they?" he asked, struggling to steady his voice.
Tidalia kept her gaze on them, her tone unnervingly calm. "The Guardians of the Realms."
